This is going to be my new breakfast and brunch spot! Everything was on point! I got a huge serving of food that was seasoned to perfection and prepared beautifully. We needed a restaurant like this in this area! I’m excited writing this because I’m full and happy. Lol. Update- I ate here again on 8/13, and I ordered the hangover hash. I would’ve kept my review at 5 stars, but the cut up chicken on the hash was cold. I’m sure it was pre-cooked chicken that just got warmed up, but it was cold. The rest of my food was warm, and it tasted really good.

My first time here. I rarely write bad reviews. They sat us by an exterior door and cold air came at us every time it was opened. No offer to move us. But there is another door? Use it? Nope! I asked why the biscuit was hard on the top and Mary said that's how they are. Horrible food and customer service. No intial offer to make anything acceptable Don't come here!! $3.00 for a hard and dry sausage biscuit. Go to Chick-fil-A!! Or even McDonald's. They saw me writing this review and did not charge me for my buscuit.

This was my first time coming here and it definitely will not be the last! I loved everything about this place. The atmosphere was quaint and calm, the options were of variety and had things I had never had before. If I could have ordered everything I would have. The service was top notch, our waitress was attentive and answered any questions plus offer suggestions. My mouth is watering just thinking of going back. The food was plentiful and seasoned perfectly. You get a great amount of food for the price as well.

Our server today was very slow to wait on us. Didn’t even know who our waitress was and after about 15 minutes had to ask someone who was supposed to be waiting on us. That waitress was very professional and took our drink order right then and brought our drinks to us. Still no sign of our waitress for another ten minutes at least before finally acknowledging us by saying she would be right with us. She eventually came back to table and took order. Our stuffed cheesecake French toast was delivered and we were told the grits would be another five minutes. Five minutes, ten minutes, and more we asked how much longer and were told 3 minutes. Not so. Our French toast was eaten long before the grits ever came (20 minutes) and once we got the grits, they were of a liquid consistency, more like soup. Complain, no. How could we if our waitress never came around? No drink refills, not until I asked at which time that never came either until the bill was brought and I had to remind her by asking if she could just put my refill I had asked for earlier in a to go cup. In addition to all of this we had been seated at a table across from bar area where I could see into the kitchen. One of the Spanish cooks took his hat/cap off, had a head full of hair and ran his fingers thru it as to fluff it up. He then put his cap back on. Now that was a reason to cringe and hope he wasn’t the one standing over the grits we were waiting for. We should have asked for the manager but were so ready to finish our meal and get out of there knowing we would be sharing review and hope that it would make management aware of these unacceptable practices. We have always enjoyed eating breakfast at the Athens location but would definitely request a...

Horrible service! I walked in and a guy with glasses greeted us. I asked for a high chair for my son, sat there for over 15 minutes and no one ever approached our table while they were serving everyone else. There were only 4 tables with 2 people on each, including mine. Finally after 20 minutes and change, the lady that was cleaning the tables finally approached me and asked me if some is helping me, I told her no and I still don’t have the high chair I asked for. To make it worst, there was a high chair right behind the guy that greeted me. I sat and continued to observe the staff serving every other table, and chatting in the kitchen until someone finally decided to do their job and walked to our table. The food came really fast and we had 2 glasses of water. After another 15 minutes someone came from the back and started refilling all the waters and she skipped our table. We were the only black family sitting at the restaurant and we felt like we were treated so much differently by the staff compared to how they served the other customers. I sat for another 10 minutes to see if she would come back, and she never did but everyone else had their refills, except us. This is such a shame, you will never see a dollar...

Overall, I give this location 2 stars because there isn’t anything special about the food. The service was decent. The atmosphere is nice, and it was more empty for a Monday afternoon, but with that said, I would have expected the food to be much, much better. My eggs were room temperature/more cool when they came out, as was my husband’s food (sausage was way too tough and cool temp) and the cappuccino I had tasted like one made from a gas station machine, same for my husband’s. I don’t mean to sound harsh, but that is truly what it reminded me of. I felt like the breakfast was more relative to a hotel breakfast, which I wasn’t expecting at all since we frequent the prince avenue location. We decided to give this one a try to start off our two year wedding anniversary, and it was overall just disappointing. (We didn’t come here for our anniversary, thank goodness, but just to get the day started.) Def a bummer. I really hope they up their standards for their food. We’ll continue to frequent the other location off of...
