Hi, my name is Thomas Peters, and I am a food critic that tries sandwiches from all around the metropolitan Atlanta area, and I had one of my close buddy’s tell me about this place called Sully’s Steamers in Athens, Georgia. So, I decided to plan a trip to come to Athens and try this sandwich shop, and the second I walked into this place, I noticed that the atmosphere was electric. The people in there were extremely nice when I was having a hard time deciding what I wanted, and the kind guy named Ian Heyns taking my order suggested “The Hulk”. He was so kind and extremely sweat. He helped me so much and really made my whole experience better. So, I got it and sat down and when I got my food I could already tell that it was going to be good based on the aroma of the sandwich. It had smoked turkey with cheddar cheese, lettuce, honey mustard. Also, the sandwich had parm-peppercorn and Doritos on it, which made the sandwich have a nice crunch to it. Overall I would rate this place a 8.7 out of 10, and the only reason I would not rate it higher was because the bread was a little soggy with all of the honey mustard and juices...
Read moreThis review is way overdue. I've been coming to Sully's Steamers for a little over a month now, since my department had a lunch outing here. I've been obsessed. The ingredients TASTE fresh. The sandwiches are delicious and I haven't ordered one yet that I didn't like. The atmosphere is incredible and the owners, Josh and Carrianne, always welcome me in whenever they see me. The vibes are just on point, and the warm, friendly atmosphere keeps me coming back over and over again. The fact that the owners work behind the counter gives me confidence that they really put their heart and soul into this place and want it to succeed, making customers happy and full. I can't recommend this place enough. From the bagels to the coffee, everything feels superb and intentional. You have to try it. If you're reading this review, it's now required that you come in to try a sandwich....
Read moreI do food reviews all around atlanta and athens. I heard about this place for its sandwiches and one of my favorite sandwiches of all time is the bacon egg and cheese. I was greeted by a nice worker named Ian, and he was so incredibly polite, charismatic, and friendly. The top 3 most important qualities as a person who has worked in customer service. This completely rounded my experience here at Sully’s. It’s not the nicest spot but that’s what makes it better. I tried the sandwich the meat chimney. It was absolutely outstanding. The bacon was crispy, the egg was made properly, the cheese was perfectly melted. There was nothing more that I could’ve asked for coming here. I will soon post my food review online. This place was an absolute hidden gem. Thanks to Ian again for how welcoming and joyous he was. More people in service need to...
