Once the GM will not return my phone call to discuss these issues I'm forced to put it online for everyone to read. Our first trip to the D's my 2 year old was stung by a wasp that had a huge nest outside the door. As we sat in the lobby, with my child crying and screaming the manager on duty did very little to comfort us. He made a repot and that was it. The 2nd trip I was there with my uncle from out of town. Sitting in the booth with the food while I got drinks he asked Allison to get him some silverware. Allison took it upon herself to walk up to me while pouring drinks and said here the man at your table wants silverware placing the silverware in my hand and swiftly walking away. My jaw dropped. But I let it go. Then she proceeded to sweep up the floor around my table while talking to an off shift employee. I asked her to please not sweep around me while I was eating. It's gross watching dust particles fly though the air while I'm trying to eat. After asking her to stop she said some comment under her breath and continued to sweep anyway. While eating our meal I kept seeing her stare at me though the corner of my eye. Every time I made full eye contact with her she would give me a dirty look. This continues until we leave. The 3 rd trip I didn't want to see Allison's face so I went through drive through. Big mastake! I place my order and then I was asked to donate money for some charity. Telling her no thanks, she proceeded again telling me that I would get 50 cents on my next order. I just drove up to the window and acted like I didn't hear her. After telling her no. Because no means no! I asked her for sauce she gave me 2 of each. Although I asked for more. After I got my food Allison gave me a nasty look again and SLAMED the window. I was over it!!!! So I called and who picked up? U guessed it! Allison! I asked to speak to a manager she wouldn't give the manager the phone until I told her who I was. Replying Mrs. benson she asked again who is speaking. I said again Mrs. Benson. She finally handed over the phone. I left a message with my name and number. I was told the Gm would be there in the morning and would get a call back. Never did. Sooooo basically my family and I will not eat there anymore all thanks to a rude little girl...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI drove around @ 6:15pm October 24,2013. I was greeted nicely, then I ordered a Fish Chicken combo and asked for a southern fried fish"no problem". With green beans and okra. Your total will be 7.62-drive around. I paid to the penny and was told to pull forward to receive my order. So I wated 5 minutes exactly and a girl came out and handed me my order. I opened it up and everything was screwed up. I had deep battered fish, corn on the cob and some other stuff I didn't order. I walked in and sat the order down and said this is not what I ordered. He looked at the ticket and said what did you order-I said ask that girl who was in the window"she had it on the prompter menu!". They yelled for her to come out and she didn't say a word-looked at the ticket and walked away. . This is the 3rd time the same girl has messed up my food order??? within 1 year.Why is no one verifying the process? If so? this is costly mistakes. This employee's name is Brianna! The same person who has screwed up my orders 2 other times. I don't know her and can't figure out why this is happening to me??? She has an attitude to go with her disposition. I was a former manager for Capt' D's and I wouldn't put up with timely and food cost mistakes. Mistakes cut profits.. and ruin business. Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe food there is pretty good IF YOU GET WHAT YOU ORDERED!! Almost every time I get a to-go order there, they screw it up. Since we live to far away to take it back, it's just a lost order. They need to hire some people for the kitchen that were able to pass grade school.
Update, 7/2/23: I'm guessing the several customers had the same complaint back then that I had and things have changed for the better. I have been there for takeout a few times since my last review and they now open each to-go box before they sack it to show you that your order is correct. Perfect move! Errors are caught right away and everyone is happy in the end. Keep it up! The food is still pretty good if you stick to the regular fish, catfish and chicken. The shrimp and salmon are often over-cooked. I'll keep going back since things...
