Cook Out — Restaurant in Athens

Came here three times and have to say disappointed doesn’t even begin to describe what I go through from randomly up charging me to upgrading my drinks then charging me extra to straight up just getting my orders wrong this time was just way worse then I could imagine. They got both me and my finances burger wrong I attempted to call 20 times and the phone is just off the ringer I guess they don’t want anyone calling to complain about the terrible service this is horrendous and I will not be coming back after tonight. Hopefully this extra hour of driving will be fixed and they rectify their wrong doing. Btw one burger was supposed to be plain the other only ketchup pickles onion and mustard no lettuce or tomato or mayo Update I attempted to go back for some food tonight and who would have known it they messed up my order again. Shameful at the fact that I keep trying to give this place a try I guess that on me though huh. Anyone ordered a big double burger tray with a chicken wrap Cajun style specifically told them NO MAY NO SOUR CREAM OR WHATEVER IT COMES WITH THEY SAID OK! Then I get my food home and lo and behold WHITE STUFF SPREAD ALL OVER MY CHICKEN! Either they are playing a joke or they just don’t know how to do their jobs here. Shameful.

Edit didn’t check my drinks but they are almost all ice even after I told them light ice this isn’t a large drink this is a large ice with small drink. I also went back they fixed the burgers but didn’t offer to replace the whole order even though the entire meal was ruined due to me having to spending an hour and half dealing with this due...

Interesting experience. Driving thru late on the way back to TX. The order taker seemed very distracted, and the order came out wrong (but in our favor, lol). We ordered 6 shakes and 3 sandwiches (2 chicken and 1 burger). We ended up with 7 shakes and 4 sandwiches (3 chicken and 1 burger). I ordered the Cajun chicken sandwich and asked to add pickles and for the TX Pete on the side. That sandwich came out correctly plus they threw in the sandwich the way it normally comes per the menu by mistake (we were not charged for the extra sandwich or shake and didn’t realize it until we got back to our hotel).

Despite the mixups, the food was good and inexpensive. The portions weren’t very big, but they were sufficient. I would definitely come back! My only “real” complaint was the size of the chunks in all shakes that had stuff in it (the Heath, Butterfinger, and watermelon). It was nearly impossible to use a straw with these shakes b/c the pieces of stuff kept clogging the straw. It was so frustrating my teen gave up on her shake entirely, though I persevered, lol. There was a LOT of Heath at the bottom, and the chunks were very large. I had to use a spoon on the chunks after the ice cream had melted and could pass through the straw. Good, but quite annoying. If I wanted to eat straight candy, I’d have just bought an ordinary Heath bar. Still, I give it a 4.3 overall. Tasty, quick food at a reasonable...

First time we ate there ah it was ok the hamburger meat was a little tough but we just thought it was cause it jyst opened up well we went for a second round omg I was so freaking ticked off well if this tells u any thing I put it in trash took one bite and the hamburger meat was burnt fries were cold the lady at the window was more worried about the lady out side than doing her job I don't know if the lady that was outside came in and fussed at them but the girl at the window said I'm not dealing with her u can and stood there talking to us like she knew us knowing our bag was sitting in front of her hello I wanted to say this is a drive thru this is where u hand our food to us hello but I wasn't going to stoop to her level they were all acting like 12 years old even the guy that was the manager I work in retail so I pay attention to alot people don't know but any ways we have not been back since and that was first of this year 2017 around about... And don't plan on going back I go to McDonald's even tho it's packed and poor little cook out is so empty it's really sad cause the one in Nashville when we stopped in...
