Always a good time at Hobby Lobby. Great deals if you look for them plus advertised deals are always great As of November 14th at approximately 715 I entered the store and i stopped at the jewelry section that contains Eliza Jane jewelry as i normally do I selected approximately 5 items which I will look at and determine which one I would like to purchase as I go through the store. My next stop is always the clearance section which is located in the far left hand corner of the store. As I was approaching the corner to turn down towards the clearance owl I met an employee I said hello and smiled at her and she returned to hello. She then keyed in her walkie talkie to speak to an employee at the end of the aisle And told her to look at me. Well I thought to myself I must look exceptionally nice Tonight Boy was I ever wrong. From that point 4th nowhere in the store did I stop that there was not an employee standing on my heels. It was close to quitting time and there had been a couple of announcements made concerning how much time was left for us customers to shop. Well I was at my last stop that I always make in the store completing my circuit of shopping And that was the clearance section of the cloth and stitching department, I enjoy cross stitching and embroidery as well as Coloring and jewelry making and various other crafts that I will look for items for my friends. Well they happen to have several books on clearance such as patterns for cross stitching. I enjoy flowers myself, The books that had flower patterns did not have a prostag on it but another book of something else cross-stitch patterns made by the same company looked exactly the same as the one that I was holding in my hand had a prosticker on it of $2.49. So, Since the employee was standing on my heels and had been the whole entire time that I was there it's air I turned and asked her if she could give me the price on the 2nd book typic that I wanted which was the flower pattern. Well amazingly enough that book was $4 49 cenas she said. Wow I think to myself because the exact same book is $2.49 that I'm holding in my other hand. At that moment, The employee popped up out of nowhere that I had spoken to when I came in to the store, Quick recall folks the one that opened her walkie talkie and asked the other employee to look at me, Placed her hands on my buggy and informed me that she was going to escort me out. I ask her how much time was left before the store closed and she informed me 2 minutes. Well I do believe I can make it from that part of the store to the register and the time allotted 2 minutes. I am quite familiar with the route to the front of the store I do not believe that I needed her assistance to make it there safely. Well when I arrived at the register the cashier was a polite lady but you could tell that she was not quite familiar with the routines. I thanked her for her services and then I asked for the employee's names. She looked all confused and started looking around her like she was visually asking for assistance and what to do in the situation. I believe it would be to give me the employee's names. Well the cashier from behind me stated go ahead and lock the doors and if she wants the name she can come back in the morning...
Read moreI was appalled at how incredibly rude, arrogant, and condescending the Store Manager (Michael) was to me in a phone conversation today. He told me that he would not take back anything that was not purchased at his location, regardless of me having a receipt and it being within 90 days. When I ask for the District Managers name, he told me he wasn’t giving me anybody’s name and he told me that his District Manager agreed with him. When I told him I intended on calling the Corporate Office, he told me that Dina was waiting for me to call. I cannot believe that Hobby Lobby, who claims to be of a religious faith would employ such a terrible unprofessional person and promote them to a leadership position. I am sure that he mistreats employees. I made the call to Corporate and spoke with Dina, who when I shared the unbelievable conversation with her, she kept apologizing for this man’s erratic behavior and told me that what he told me about returns, is not Hobby Lobby’s return policy. Hoping and praying they either demote or dismiss Michael as he is not fit to be in any leadership role within what they promote as a religious, faith based business. I certainly can’t imaging the President of Hobby Lobby approving of such a rude, arrogant, and condescending person. I don’t think I will ever patronize that...
Read moreThe Store Manager (male) and the Co-Manager (female) are the most rude and arrogant employees of any Hobby Lobby I have ever shopped in. After seeing their displayed behavior in the Christmas section, I had to question Hobby Lobby’s assessment skills of who should be promoted to oversee a store, much less employees. No one of their caliber should ever be left in charge of people, much less let to deal with Customers . How ashamed Hobby Lobby Corporate Officers should be of those two extremely arrogant employees. If you are truly a Christian organization, you should promote people who display behavior very becoming to a Christian not people who display behavior of a devil. Dollar Tree, Dollar General, and Family Dollar have Management that puts the Management of the Athens Hobby Lobby to shame. I feel very sorry for the employees of the Athens TN Hobby Lobby as not one of them can afford to truly admit how awful they are treated. And Hobby Lobby truly does not care how they treat Customers or they would have gotten rid of that Management Team a...
