GoodFella's Pizza — Restaurant in Athens

Went to Athens with the family for a quick little trip for dinner and to surprise the youngins!

We ordered a 1/2 sheet pepperoni and a slice of cheese pizza plus 3 bottles of water, a Dr Pepper and A Lemon Lime Gatorade! The cook/waitress was extremelynice and helpful! They offer a special of 2 slices or pepperoni or cheese pizza and drink for $7! Their pizza is a large rectangle and I cant wait to devour it! I'mon a diet and Tomato restricted due to stomach health but Im with my familyand this is their choice option .. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Pizza and this did not disappoint! It's thick like Detroit Pizza! Very good and highly recommend if you are in the Athens area!! Literally right near Ohio University in Walking distance... Let me know...

Literally only came here because Courtside pizza was closed (Goodfellas screwed up my order before 3 years ago so I never went back). I was the only customer in the store with a simple order— I asked for 4 cheese slices with a garlic sauce. I got 2 pep, 2 cheese, no garlic sauce. The order is already overpriced at $8.50. I’m mad because freshman year they screwed up my order and I almost had to fight the dude for a .50 garlic sauce he missed (probably 1 cent for the the place). My recommendation is go to Cside or any other place, they dont screw up your order every single time and if they do they wont try to fight you over negligible costs. The pizza here is mediocre. The dough is really chewy and fluffy, so if you like a crisp crust this isn't for you. It's basically like white bread, the flavor is good just texture for a pizza dough is weird. The sauce is good, but the cheese is the buffet weakness. It's the type of cheese that just congeales on top of the pizza. Texture is weird and flavor is meh. 20 bucks for a half sheet of pepperoni might not be bad if there were actually pepperoni on it lol. The pieces are huge, which is good, but a pepperoni pizza only has 4 pieces per slice. So you're mainly getting a cheese pizza in the middle with pepperoni on each end. Overall nowhere near an amazing slice, but mediocre at best. I'd probably try...
