Hardee’s — Restaurant in Athens

Ohh, I used to love this location but in the last few months it’s really gone downhill. Literal every time I order there is an issue in some way.

I think the biggest issue at hand is that the employees would rather chit chat and play around rather than work. There will be an employee in the lobby sitting at a table and them and another worker were literally yelling from across the store. Not in a fighting way - just a conversation. They were so far apart that had to yell to hear each other.

Another time I was waiting for my food. I heard the service worker tell the guy running the front register that his order (my food) was ready. She placed it on the top of the area they keep the food hot. So it was not being kept warm. The guy on the register was too busy talking to another employee (not discussing work related things) while my food just sat there. After about 5 mins I finally spoke up and my food was cold.

No one has ever been rude. Nice people but they play around far too much and it’s affecting the business.

Horrible experience ! I know they were short handed but I spent 20 minutes in the drive threw. First minutes I heard everything that was being said in the store over the intercom. No one acknowledge any cars and there was a line I saw people drive over the curb just to get out of it.

I guess no one knew there was a line because they didn't turn their head piece off because No one replied awven after several "HELLOS"

I finally got to place my order and waited another 10 mins at the window with someone occasionally waiving their "wait a minute " finger at me.

By the time I got my food the fries were cold and rubbery the burger was cold and nasty and the drink was flat and the syrup was empty it was just colored water.

I understand being short handed but close the store if can't Handel the flow . 20 minutes for nasty food that got thrown away.

Because I'm a honest person I was given my food before I paid I still payed but quickly regretted wasting my money.

I will deffinatly not go back to the white st in athens...

The Hardee’s in Athens TN located on White Street in downtown is the location I just stopped at to pick up dinner. The wait time was about 25-30 minutes in the drive thru. Once I got home I began to eat my burger when I realized the meat patty was burned. Not just a little, it was completely black. I asked for NO cheese or ketchup. Still received cheese on my burger. I used to work at this location and I kept thinking, maybe they are just busy. When I pulled up to the window, I was only able to see two employees at first. After I received my drink there were 3 more employees that came around to the front counter. I only seen two guests inside the lobby, the rest were in the drive through behind me. I couldn’t understand how it took almost 30 minutes to cook the food, then to serve burned food that was made incorrectly.
