Slim Chickens — Restaurant in Athens

UPDATE: The manager of the local restaurant called me and apologized for internal confusion at the restaurant about the coupon. She did strive to make things right and I appreciated the speed with which she called and the responsiveness related to the problem... ORIGINAL POST: The food was good and I went through the drive-through so the service was fast and friendly. The reason for the (original) 2-star rating was that we live in Athens and received an ad at our home for all restaurants in the Huntsville area, including the address of the Athens restaurant. Also, when I ordered at the drive-through, the person taking my order said the coupon would be accepted. Then I got to the window and the person taking my card said she had been told they would not accept the coupons. I clarified with her that the coupon was from the flyer that included their address. She responded that she understood and that I was not the only person who had attempted to use a coupon. This restaurant needed to be clear with the corporate office that they are not accepting coupons so the flyers are not printed with the address of this restaurant on them and are not delivered to the...

Bryson is exactly who you want to greet you and take your order. He is sweet, has a beautiful smile and his accent....I could listen to him for days. Anyways, back to the review. I got the Tender Mac Bowl meal. It's Mac n cheese with cut up chicken on it and some shredded cheese. It was SO good!!!! My husband got the 3 piece chicken tender meal. Followed by dessert. I got the DELICIOUS strawberry cheesecake jar dessert. It is so cute!!! They come in little mason jars. My husband got the brownie jar dessert. The food was delicious, hot and perfect!!! The restaurant was clean. We ate and then went to get our jar desserts, having paid for them when we ordered our meal. Brealyn (hope I spelt that right) was so sweet. This bigger guy was telling her to make sure the customers get them when they order them. For one, I had asked Bryson if we could get them on the way out. He said no problem. We got no smile or anything from the big man. Not pleased with him. Especially talking to Brealyn like that. She did nothing wrong. That doesn't take away even one star that everyone else earned.
