So I live roughly 50 min from this location and I had a friend who works at this location and I wanted to visit her today since I finally got a night off. Well she was my server of course and I got there an hour and half before they close because working in the service industry I get coming in when they are about to close is annoying so I tried to not get there too late. I ordered wings that were 75 cents per wing as well as two beers that were on a deal. She did a wonderful job at being a server and was fun to see her be a server at Buffalo Wild Wings and really enjoy herself when I hadn’t seen her serve before. Turns out as her shift ended they let her go of course I’m not going to say any names and what not for privacy reasons as I don’t know everything but she had told me she got off working a double and they let her go because of too many complaints she had. Granted she did sit down at my table to say hi which I get is maybe against policy but she had mentioned that people complained she drank on the job which I can vouch is inexcusable on the job but if it was because of her sitting at my table which I can vouch never happened. Then I’m not sure why termination is viable in this situation. Listen I work in the service industry I get what goes and what doesn’t but for watching someone who I know and trust having serve me while I was there then leaving and having her tell me she was let go because of what she had told me doesn’t seem right in my eyes. She said that someone complained she was drinking from my beer which was not the case she did not do that. I agree that she sat down at my table to chat while she was free I get that that’s rude and maybe not allow d but again I do not know what all went down but when I got there she was nothing but helpful and caring and even helped the other guests she had left and in my opinion they didn’t say or have any comments about her but seemed nice to her and she was more then quick to help them. Again I get that the customers are always right but termination in this aspect from what I’m hearing whether incorrect or correct seems abrupt especially when i too understand the importance of having a job and needing to pay for bills and other expenses in my life. I would just say look into this. I may not have all the details but from what I had heard it does...
Read moreMy experience was just horrible. It was a special mom/son date night and we didn't mind the wait, bc it was Saturday night. The host was telling everyone 30-45 minutes. But when he sat us and I saw empty tables everywhere I was shocked. I asked why people are being made to wait when there's obviously tables and he said the kitchen was backed up and understaffed. I saw families walking away. We were sat on the patio and it was just us and 1 other table. The rest were empty. We ordered and 45 minutes later the food still hadn't showed up. I was getting ready to walk. And we were getting cold. She assured us it wouldn't be too much longer. I told her if we couldn't be sat inside we were leaving as the sun had gone down. We were. Empty tables that weren't bussed everywhere. People still waiting to be sat. Our food FINALLY arrived but without our fries. That took almost another 10 minutes. The boneless wings were not anything special. In fact they tasted like something you'd get from the frozen section as did their cheese fries. And their mild was way too spicy for us to eat. I never ever write bad reviews and I'm not hard to please but this was awful. Then it took forever to get our check. If I had the cash, I just would have left what I had added up was the total bc by that time we had been in their over an hour and a half. Worst $50 I've ever spent. I would have told the manager so too if they had made their rounds to check on the patrons, but nobody knew what they were doing. And this wasn't opening week or anything. They've been open a few weeks now. I won't go back. I couldn't wait to write this. And when FB asks me to do it after checking in, I'll do it there too. They need to get their service, management and quality control issues up to par.
I'd advise everyone to stick to the other local wings establishments in Madison...
Read moreWe have given this place four tries since they opened in Athens. After failing to give even fair service each time and terrible service tonight, we are finally finished with this establishment for good. The only people who need to go here are maybe young folks going mainly to drink and watch sports. It is worthless for anything else. I won’t go into all the details but if you go at the minimum be prepared to wait in reception area until you grow old before a greeter will show up. Also be prepared for SLOW service and having your mouth burn up from eating wings waiting on a drink refill. Most of the similar bad reviews that I see here (and there are many) are followed by a reply asking the reviewer to call a number to speak to someone. Oh I wonder what that experience would be like. Besides, the reviewer is not the one that needs to take action, it is Buffalo Wild Wings! It appears they have taken the approach that giving a toll-free numbest for someone to call portrays proactive customer service. Wrong! Get your act together or get out of the “service” business. The only way I would ever go back is if they replied that THEY have solved all the service issues and they are fully confident we would receive good service if we returned. I’m not going to hold my breath, this is not going to happen because from the other reviews I have read, they already know the problems but REFUSE to take initiative to fix root causes....
