"WhataDissappointment"
As someone who values the quality of a dining experience, I must express my utmost disappointment with my recent visit to Whataburger. From the moment I stepped into the establishment, I was met with a confluence of disappointments that manifested into an overwhelmingly negative experience.
Our order taker, Kelley H was not only unfriendly - but met us with a blank, expectant stare that made me immediately reconsider my dining choice. The next thing that struck me upon entry was the poor condition of the dining room. It was not just untidy; it was filthy. But the restrooms took it to another level. I have seen public restrooms in various conditions, but never in such a state of decay. The urinal in the men's restroom was in a perpetual state of flushing, creating not just an auditory nuisance, but also wasting an obscene amount of water. Cleanliness was clearly not on the day’s agenda.
My experience worsened as I made my way to the drink station, where the ice machine refused to offer any ice, forcing me back to the counter to make a request of Kelley H. When my food was finally delivered, the server turned what should've been a relief into another blow. Her words - "I hate to break it to you, but that's gonna cost you more money" - were a shocking commentary on the lack of decorum I'd already come to associate with this restaurant. My bewildered response was met with a demand for an additional $0.98, an unexpected charge for two sauces that I was not informed about prior.
Seeking some explanation or at least an apology, I approached the manager on duty. But all I was met with was a blank stare, as if my complaints were an everyday occurrence for her. She offered no explanation or attempt at rectifying the situation, merely staring at me as if waiting for me to disappear. All things considered, my visit to Whataburger was truly "WhataDissappointment". It was an unfortunate experience that will be etched into my memory, reminding me of the importance of proper service, cleanliness, and management in the food industry. My hopes for a satisfactory resolution fell on deaf ears, leaving me with no other recourse but to share my ordeal in the hopes that no one else should have to...
Read moreMy family got to thhe athens, alabama establishment at 5:45pm last night to grab a bite to eat on our way into huntsville. We ordered our food and sat down to wait. I noticed that there was several people waiting so I figured there would be a small wait. I know that places are short staffed so I try to be patient. After waiting 30 minutes I went up to the front and asked how much longer our food would be. The cashier went to the kitchen and asked. I could hear the workers in the back make rude remarks that we should be more patient and it would be out when they get it out. The cashier came back and said they were working on my order. He never offered an apology for how long it was taking. I sat down and waited again. At 45 minute wait my family had to leave since we had an appointment to make. I went up again to the cashier and asked for a refund. At this time another man was doing the same since he had been waiting the same amount of time. A few people had walked in to order and asked me how long I had been waiting. I told them 45 minutes. The new customer asked the cashier if that actually was the wait. The cashier said yup that's about right. The cashier went to get the manager to see if a refund could be given. The workers in the back were so rude with remarks that we should learn patience and to just sit down and wait. This is fast food...there is no reason for it to take 45 minutes to be ready. No reason to not inform customers that a wait would be expected. They seemed to only be concerned with the drive thru customers and nobody inside. The manager came out and offered the refund. I did lose out on a coupon I had used for a free whataburger meal as well. I won't be back to this location. I love whataburger bit the long wait mixed with the attitude from the employees has made it where I won't visit this location again. I also still am waiting to see my refund on my card since they won't give back the refund in cash. I am very disappointed since I always have loved whataburger but this place needs customer service...
Read moreOn a very busy Easter Sunday I was so excited to have a Whataburger. Not used to ordering Whataburger cause they're not around where I live. I happen to know somebody in the corporate America at Whataburger.
An unreal experience that I came to order and asked, could I just have my burger wrapped in lettuce they have leaf lettuce in so many words the picture shows that they have leaf lettuce I was dumbfounded when the person said no we can't wrap your burger and lettuce I said, are you serious and I walked out. I called and asked for the manager.
I said I would try to be as brief as possible. She continued to explain instead of saying, I know exactly what you want, sir I will make that happen. This is actually happening in our country. We're talking about lettuce. She proceeded to tell me that they have shredded lettuce I said, then why does your picture have leaf lettuce? She said well we do have leaf lettuce , there's a big disconnect
I did not start complaining in our country. I was not a complainer. I am not picky. I am watching my carbs. It's everywhere in our country. Make it happen. Unreal. I do not have a Whataburger onto the next restaurant. I am pissed off.
1348 hrs. it is now over an hour since I pulled off the freeway and my big truck to find a place to get something to eat. I now have made my way across the highway to find a microwave after walking down the street to the gas station that was closed and across the street to the one that was open they had no microwave .
Keep in mind this is a restaurant that has leaf lettuce and would not wrap my burger and...
