This was my first time visiting Atlanta. I came to Atkins because a stranger recommended it to me. I was VERY close to giving this place a 2-star rating. This was based solely on my bartender's rude behavior from last night. I had multiple questions about the menu items because I wanted to know exactly what I was getting. I have certain food preferences. The male bartender on staff October 15th around 9pm was very rude! He kept storming through the kitchen doors every time I had a question to get answers for me. Then when he returned to the bar he was very agitated. When I was finally ready to order, he reprimanded me about my questions. I then told him that I will close my tab with the one drink I already ordered and leave. I was ready to order food somewhere else because I did not feel comfortable ordering food there. He then replied "It's okay I've calmed down now. You can order."...
EXCUSE ME!??! I was very polite the entire time. I don't understand what would have prompted him to be so angry and rude with me. Why was he riled up in the first place?!?
I ended up joining another table where I was served by Blake. He saved the night! I was EXTREMELY upset about my experience and he rectified it for. He apologized for his co-worker's behavior and explained "He's just like that" (which is unacceptable, by the way! That bartender should be fired).
Blake was very attentive and patient with any questions I had about the menu. He understood that questions were normal, as I never been there before.
To the owner, if you are reading this, please give Blake bonus on his next paycheck and get RID of the bartender from last night. Words cannot describe how much he upset me (a paying customer) with his rude behavior. Blake was a prime example of what great...
Read moreWe live in the area and have eaten here many times, so thought it would be a great place for my husband and I to take our parents for mother’s day. We made a reservation weeks in advance for 7 people at noon since we knew it would be busy. Walked into the restaurant at 12:10 and was told our table was given to another party, but that there was another table about to get up. The hosts told us it would be 5-10 minutes. 25 minutes later, we asked for a status update and were told they were still waiting on a table to give us- meanwhile sitting other groups of 3 and 4 continuously. I normally never write negative reviews, but we made a reservation specifically because our parents are older and we didn’t want them standing for a while. No one of the staff offered any chairs or drinks for our mothers, but just kept saying the table would be ready in 5-10 minutes. Finally, at 12:50 we left the restaurant and went somewhere else for lunch.
I only say all this, because as a restaurant if you have a reservation system you should try to abide by that and be honest with cu stomers about the wait times. I am not sure how much we will go back, but I do know I will never take guests again to...
Read moreWow. Came here for the first time about 7:00 on a Saturday evening. The place was lively. Called ahead for a reservation and it was ready when we arrived.
Had chicken tenders and what other reviewers say about them is absolutely true. I do not normally eat chicken tenders but these looked so good in the pictures that I had to try them, and they were absolutely fantastic. Split these with my companion, and then we split two fried chicken tacos. Simply amazing, and we got them with a side of queso blanco and even that was fantastic. Had drinks but also got a sweet tea which was incredibly good.
Our server Cooper was fast, helpful, attentive, lively, and just a cool guy overall. A nice bonus is that even with two alcoholic drinks, a tea, and plenty of food, the total bill was $55. So, if you didn't get any alcohol you could easily eat here for $15-$20 per person. It is hard to find a good sit down place with amazing food in this range but they have it here. There's not much else to say really, everything was about as perfect as it could be. Will definitely return soon. Highly...
