My wife and I stayed at this charming bed and breakfast in September, and it was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and at ease. The home itself is stunning, nestled in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood thatâs perfectly situated within walking distance to some of our favorite Atlanta spots, including Ponce City Market and La Fonda.
Inside, the house is tastefully decorated with a warm, romantic charm that certainly made it feel like a true retreat. Every detail, from the cozy furnishings to the thoughtful touches throughout, added to the overall sense of comfort and charm.
David, the innkeeper, is truly one of the best hosts weâve ever encountered. His hospitality is genuine, and his breakfasts are absolutely phenomenal, easily some of the best weâve ever had. Each morning felt like a special occasion thanks to his incredibly delicious breakfasts, lovely dining view, and his attention to detail.
If youâre considering a stay here, donât hesitate. This place is a gem, and weâre already looking forward to...
Read moreAs others have said, great location, nice property. But unlike what others have said, we did not find David to be friendly or welcoming. While polite and professional, I'm not sure we ever saw him smile. When we tried to engage him in conversation (questions about restaurants, museums etc.) his answers were brief and it was clear he was not interested in pursuing the topic . We asked him what we could expect as to traffic heading out of town the next morning and his answer was basically, "I don't know." Breakfasts were fine- nothing out of the ordinary (omelettes, bacon, and toast or English muffin both days). It's too bad because it really is a nice property- we just felt like we were intruding and he really didn't want us there. Maybe it was just us or he was having a bad couple of days. In any case, place is very comfortable and near a nice walking trail that goes all the way into a nice eating/shopping...
Read moreIâve stayed twice at Greenwood B&B and canât recommend it highly enough. Itâs a whole sideâcompletely separate from the host/ownerâs partâof a cute, classic, one-story house in my favorite (and former) neighborhood, Virginia Highlands. The location is fantastic, an excellent base for on-foot exploration of intown Atlanta (but youâll have/want a carâstreet parking is easy here). The house is clean, comfortable, cute, well-lit and well-stocked; a/c works very well and is under your control; breakfast is included and apparently delicious (I always have plans!). Host David keeps a low profile yet is on-site and fully available and responsive. The whole set-up is fantastic and an...
