Babylon Cafe is a hidden gem that promises a delightful journey through the flavors of the Middle East. As I stepped into this vibrant establishment, I was immediately captivated by its inviting ambiance and warm hospitality. From the moment my friend and I were greeted by the hostess, we knew we were in for a treat.
Let's start with the food options, which left us thoroughly impressed. The salmon and shrimp plate was a true masterpiece. The selection of fresh, succulent shrimp, perfectly grilled salmon, and basmati rice was a seafood lover's dream come true. Each bite bursting with flavor, leaving us longing for more! The lamb chops, cooked to perfection, were tender, juicy, and infused with aromatic spices that danced on our taste buds. It was an absolute delight to savor such exquisite dishes.
To complement our meal, we indulged in Babylon Cafe's specialty cocktails. Crafted with precision and creativity, these libations were a true testament to the mixologist's expertise. The Babylon Rita, a refreshing blend of agave, lime, and premium tequila, transported me to a state of pure bliss. The Pomegranate Martini, with its delicate balance of sweet and tangy notes, was a true crowd-pleaser. It came smoking on a platter! Each sip was an adventure in itself, and I couldn't resist trying a few more from their extensive cocktail menu.
During our dining experience, our server, Erika, proved to be a highlight of the evening!! Not only was she incredibly friendly and accommodating, but she also possessed an impressive knowledge of the menu. Erika effortlessly guided us through the vast array of options, providing insightful recommendations and answering all our questions with a genuine enthusiasm. Her infectious personality and entertaining anecdotes added an extra layer of enjoyment to our evening, making us feel like valued guests throughout our entire visit.
Apart from the culinary delights and exceptional service, Babylon Cafe also offers a hookah experience that is second to none. As we settled into the cozy seating area, we were greeted by a wide selection of enticing flavors. The smoothness of the hookah smoke was a testament to the high-quality and use of coconut coals, which enhanced the overall experience. Whether you're a seasoned hookah enthusiast or a first-timer, Babylon Cafe's hookah lounge is the perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy a flavorful session.
In conclusion, Babylon Cafe is a haven for food enthusiasts seeking an extraordinary dining experience. With its delectable seafood platter, mouthwatering lamb chops, and expertly crafted cocktails, this restaurant truly caters to diverse palates. The exceptional service provided by Erika elevated our visit to new heights, and the hookah with its smooth flavors and relaxing ambiance added an extra layer of charm. Whether you're looking for a memorable meal, entertaining company, or a hookah session, Babylon Cafe is the...
Read moreMy friend had her birthday party here last night and we had a total of 10 people. When we got there, the place was pretty slow. The waitress took our orders which consisted of food, cocktails, and hookah all at once. It was 45 minutes before we received anything at all, and what they brought us was our food. Everyone’s food except for mine and my boyfriends. We were still waiting on our drinks when the hookah was finally brought to us, the girl set it down ON TOP OF the table and left it. Before we had even gotten a chance to touch it, the owner ran over and grabbed it tellin. Is that it was a safety hazard to have it on the table. I informed her that we were sorry and that the waitress was the one that had put it on top of the table to which she replied “REALLY? Because you guys know I was WATCHING her” in the most sarcastic tone I have ever heard. Great. Luckily, my boyfriends food came next (still no drinks) and I watched everyone finish their food without even a pass by from our waitress to see if I had gotten mine. Then the drinks came with little to NO alcohol in them. When the waitress finally came back over and I asked about my food, she also caught an attitude and started telling us how stressed the owner was and that it’s not their fault. Which is understandable, but to start arguing with your customers about why they cannot get anything right is a mistake.
Fast forward 20 minutes and my food comes. The checks eventually make their way over and low and behold after everything else, the mandatory party tip of $14 is on the bill on top of everything else. Which I honestly would not mind paying if the service and the attitudes had even been remotely standard.
We won’t be returning or recommending this place to anyone in the future especially after our encounter with the owner herself. The 5 star reviews come from the people that are just in it for the food and nothing else.
Edit: looking back at other people’s reviews, I honestly don’t feel the need to tell you that the owner has an attitude. Just read her responses to the people that are less than ecstatic about their experiences. It’s self...
Read moreI had a great time at Babylon Cafe recently on a Saturday night. A close friend of mine celebrated her birthday here and reserved a section. We arrived around 9 PM. Parking was very limited, but we were able to park in the lot behind it (where Starship is) for free. They do begin to charge for parking in that lot after 10:30 PM, so I recommend arriving between 8 and 9:30 for ease in finding it for free.
Babylon Cafe also charges a cover after 10 PM, so I recommend coming earlier for that reason as well. The reserved section came with bottle service, so we were able to enjoy Patron shots and the bottle girls came over with the bottle, sparklers and the birthday sign to celebrate our friend. I also ordered a mango margarita (I think it was called Babylonrita?) and it was good! We ordered lemon pepper wings and french fries and they were perfect for the booth that we were sitting in and helped with soaking up the tequila. We truly enjoyed the french fries. My friends that ordered the lamb chops and lamb bryani loved their food also, but took to-go boxes. I would love to try lamb bryani next time, but would not recommend that type of food for the section seating, because of the limited space and lower table making it harder to eat the lamb chops and rice/like dish. They do have general restaurant seating on the other side of the cafe.
The music was awesome; this djay catered to the millennials that night! There was a mix of r&b, hiphop, afro beat, Mediterranean music, line dances, everything early 90s to the early 2000s with a mix of 2023! We were up dancing the majority of the time that we were there. We saw the belly dancer 2-3 times and she delivered a very fun and interactive experience where we could dance with her. It was a true party and it almost felt like we had the back of the place to ourselves because it was very intimate and not crowded. It is a great place for a birthday celebration or just to hang out on Saturday night.
Overall, this experience was a VIBE that I have not had going out in a year or so. I would def. come back to enjoy...
