For drinks we had two Voodoos, very refreshing fruity drinks. Appetizers were Shrimp in Blanket and the Tempura Sampler (two shrimp and vegetables) Mains were Pad See-U and the Super Rain Roll (comes with extra smoked salmon). The food and service (Treent, our server, was very helpful) was most excellent.  However, if I had to do it again, I would have chosen the Valentine Roll, same as the Super Rain Roll, just that the salmon isn't smoked, more for my sushi taste bud liking. We have been frequent diners here through the years and consider this restaurant a favorite! =============== Another very satisfying meal at Rain. for a group of four. We shared sake, valentine roll, spider roll, tempura sampler, double shrimp roll, miso soup, Rain salad, and a sashimi sampler. Service was most excellent, again, the food was reasonability priced and everyone was complementary of their eating's. +++++++++++++ Again in May. Old Fashoned, Anti-Oxident, Atlanta Roll, Valentine Roll, Tempura Sampler, Tofu Salad. Most enjoyable. $74.00.

One of my favorite Thai/sushi spots. Generally come for a date night but this particular time it was a small gathering. They do not do reservations from what I was told but they were able to hold a larger table and seat me immediately without everyone being present. It was much appreciated. I ordered the Bagel Roll, chicken fried rice, and an ultimate margarita. For starters, crispy veggie spring rolls. FYI the spring rolls are spicy. I ended up ordering the Double Shrimp Roll and a side of fried rice to-go. I have food allergy, so be mindful of everything that is included in the fried rice. They can alter it to your liking. Our waiter was very prompt and attentive. He also had a great customer oriented attitude. I recommend this place to anyone. Side note, although I didn't get it this time, the lobster roll is delicious. I've included a picture as one of my friends ordered it and the picture looks amazing.

My husband and I loved this place, until this evening. We have visited this restaurant and placed order for to-go dozens of times since we moved to LaVista Park. However this evening we were really upset and disappointed with the restaurant service.

We entered the restaurant before 8 pm and tried to introduce this place to my husband’s sister from other state. Turns out, the restaurant just forgot us and left us in the end of the room.

We had to call the waiter/waitress a couple times to make an order, which already wasted us 15 minutes. After we ordered the food, the soup came very fast then they forgot us again.

We were very tired and hungry, and eventually the feeling turned into angry. We came to this place so many times and this was the very first time the restaurant forgot their customers!

Eventually, we decided to cancel the food and rather to grab some things from the Publix next door for food. The moment we told the restaurant we want to leave, the food came to our table.

Unfortunately, one of the entree was already COLD. A restaurant should not serve cold entree to the customers especially that dish was seafood! My husband cannot even took a bite of the cold sea bass. The cold sea bass was disgusting!

My husband decided to leave the restaurant. This was the first time I saw him walking away from the table. The manager came to apologize and said they won’t charge us. But that’s not the point. We don’t need any free food. We just want a nice meal when we walk into a so-called decent restaurant!

When we got the cold food, it was already 8:45pm. It means we spent almost 1 hour there but got nothing!

If the restaurant was too busy to take care of their customers, please hire more employees!

Also, this was not the first time Rain destroy our meal. They forgot part of the food twice when I ordered to-go in the past two months. I didn’t notice until I arrived home. The problem is Rain always tied up the to-go order and the customers can’t even open the bag to check the details!

We love Thai food and sushi. We genuinely wish Rain can improve their service, management, and...

I was at Rain for lunch 2 days ago, June 10, 2025. I used to dine here often years ago and enjoyed it. However, I am not in the area as frequently as I used to be so visits there have become infrequent. Since I had a medical appointment nearby, it was suggested that we stop for lunch. I ordered a sushi roll to eat while there, which was decent (not spectacular), and placed an order "to go". I ordered their house fried rice, which is pretty common, and a dish I recalled them doing well. This time, tough, I got the fried rice dish from hell. Saying it was terrible is not descriptive enough. It was not edible. The rice had an odd smell, it did not contain the 3 protein combination that is usually included in a "house" order, it was totally devoid of any flavor or seasoning, there were no vegetables, and the rice was just bad -- bad in taste and texture. Over the years, I have bragged so much about Rain, that I'll be the first to admit that I was shocked!!

A couple of other observations too: the restaurant was not crowded in the least, so I was surprised by how long it took for our food to come out; and I was taken aback by the lackluster and unfriendly disposition of the associate who served us. It was a very different experience! I guess the lesson here is that not all good things last forever. So I don't think I'll be making a trip back there because there are entirely too many other Thai restaurants from which to choose ... and where I can get better quality food...

Coming from NY, my brother who lives in the neighborhood was excited to take me to Rain for dinner at 8PM on a Tuesday. The place looked nice and not packed, we were quickly seated to the very back of the restaurant which seemed nice and quite to catch up with him and his new wife. We were served water almost immediately however waited for over 20 minutes for a waiter to come over to the table. My Sister in law who BTW is Asian decided to go and ask for someone to help us. Someone finally came over took our order and left. We were starving so we ended up skipping any appetizers and ordered our main course. We patiently waited for over 45 minutes for our food with interim checkins as to what’s taking so long with our food. When our food finally arrived to our table it what all extremely cold. They had to have our food sitting there to be picked up and served. We eventually left staving without eating. I am very disappointed at the kind of customer service provided, they are disorganized and don’t seem to have enough staff to accommodate the people. They can definitely improve customer service. Next visit I will probably bring a health inspector to make a...
