I waited in line for 30 minutes at the drive thru. It was 10:05 at night on a Sunday.
I didnāt want anything after waiting so long but we are jammed in the long line of cars (3 cars in front of us and 5 behind us) and couldnāt actually leave so Iām like āalready here, HAVE to get something'
I order ice cream, that simple. When I finally get the ice cream. Itās not even remotely what I ordered. I asked for chocolate and vanilla swirl in a cup and I get vanilla on a cone. I go āoh.ā In a disappointed tone. āItās suppose to be in a cup, pleaseā I donāt even bother to say anything about the chocolate because theyāve already made one mistake. The cashier becomes angry and snaps āyou can have it in a cup then!' And disappears. Another cashier comes to the window and asks for the money. I give it to her. The rude one comes back and practically throws it at me. I say āthank youā because outta habit Iām always polite. She simply whips around and goes away. She doesnāt gimme a spoon either. How does one eat ice cream in a bowl or cup without a spoon, huh? She didnāt even trash the cone and remake it like they usually do. Iāve seen em drop them in the trash. She literally dumped the cone upside down and shoved it into the cup so when I got it, I got a special treat. Vanilla ice cream with chunks of crushed cone in it. How lovely. Iām in shock from how wrong this has went. It was $1.08. I gave them 1.10. I didnāt even wait for 2 cents or the receipt. I lick at the top for a minute or two before I really give up because now Iāve noticed that the rim is dirty. Thereās a spot of dried chocolate syrup on the cup, across from my mouth. I WANT to believe that's what it was. My mouth didnāt come in contact with it but Iām still uber grossed out to the point where I couldnāt finish that after seeing it.
I donāt know what it is about every Checkerās location but this is the 4th time in two years Iāve gotten a dirty cup when Iāve ordered a frozen dessert. I sat the ice cream in the cup holder of the car and trashed it when I got home.
This is the 3rd time in three months I've gotten a bad order at this location. Once my burger's bun was burnt and it looked to have had a bite taken out of it. I cut off that part and ate the other half because I was starving. Another time, I ordered an island smoothie which was all sugary syrup and no 'slush'. Like the ice part was literally missing. It was syrupy juice. It was so difficult to drink, I ended up trashing it too and those are mildly expensive.
It's hit and miss here. Sometimes the food is good, sometimes it's not. Sometimes the cashiers are nice, sometimes they aren't. I drop in once a month but I won't be returning here. 3 times is enough to have paid for items I...

The delivery driver Davide was very friendly and nice and I left him a very nice tip. My problem came when I got ready to eat my food and notice that I did not have all my food. I ORDERED 2 LARGE FRIES AND 2 6PC CHEESE STICKS. I gave a $20tip because I was that made my order come to $50. I called checkers back to let them know but phone went to voice mail, so I left a message with my name and phone number and order number hoping they will call me back but I never got a call back. So today 09/13/2023 I thought I would give them another call back and this time someone answered the call. I explained my situation and she told me she remembered my order and that it was 1 LG fry and 1 6pc cheese stick. I said yes that was left out of my order and I would like that today instead of a refund. She said for me to hold and she would get theMgr. I said ok. I could here her talking in the background telling her mgr that she remembered my order. When the lady came back to the phone she said her mgr said for me to contact postmate. I said why, because my food was sealed and he did delivered it to me in a timely fashion. She said because I placed my order with them. So I said ok I will call postmate. The lady who answered the call was very nice and had great customer service. So I tried calling postmate but could not get through to their customer service. At this point I just spent $50 on an order that only cost me $15.56 before tax. I just wished that I could have gotten someone to help me because I did spend money on my order and I was expecting to get what I paid for. Checkers on MLK Jr drive AtlantaGA. I feel sometime when you is making delievery orders, you must double check to make sure all items is in the bag. If you do not want to be held accountable for the mistakes you all made. I fo not think I will order from this location again. I felt like the mgr should have gotten on th. Phone to speak with me. It's all good, I'm going to take that loss but I will not waste my money on checkers...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am utterly disgusted because my daughters were discriminated against due to their appearance. They were scolded and treated rudely for using coupons!!!! I can not believe in this day and age and all thatās going on in the world that people do not have any empathy and show no respect for children and their feelings. They actually kept two of my daughtersā coupons, by the way. Money is definitely not an issue and if they were short, they couldāve simply walked right around the corner to my home and gotten their OWN bank cards to purchase what they wanted. That didnāt happen. They were embarrassed, mocked, frowned upon and laughed at with the whole staff, including the manager. I am a housing manager, myself, at a very prestigious realty company here in Atlanta, Georgia. We would never display this lack of professionalism with our treasured and valued tenants. This really hurt my feelings for my children and people wonder why kids shut themselves out from other adults. Look how they display their true characters in front of and while communicating with children. We have to do better as a community. Please make it right Checkers, 3566 MLK JR DRIVE SW, ATLANTA, GEORGIA, ESPECIALLY the African- American female, night manager with the brown braids. Your staff is mimicking your work ethic and thatās putting a lamentable name on Checkers as a company. Remember, you are a reflection of them⦠Thanks for your time.
