Dtox — Restaurant in Atlanta

I visited the Buckhead location this morning to satisfy my need for a quick, nutritious smoothie or smoothie bowl. I had been physically weak the past two days so really needed something easy. Their bottled juices look great so I bought 3 and ordered the açai smoothie bowl with two toppings (at .75 per topping). I chose granola and banana. I understand the wait times may be longer at places like this because their smoothies and bowls are made to order. After 15 minutes I received a açai smoothie bowl with banana, granola, dark chocolate chips, coconut flakes and goji berries. This may sound delicious (and I’m sure it is to people who want it and order it) but I HATE dark chocolate and dontcare for goji berries. When I asked the girl at the counter to redo it without the extra stuff she said it’s all mixed in together. WOW. This needs to be disclosed on the ingredient list!! There are people who are allergic to or just don’t like dark chocolate and coconut! They’d be in a world of problems if someone broke out in hives. She remade it with only bananas without giving me an option for another topping I had already paid for neither did she offer to return the dollar spent on a topping I didn’t get. I just asked for my money back for the bowl....

I came here after a workout class for a smoothie to freshen up. Modern looking little place and the person behind the counter was pleasant and helpful. The person who’s in charge of making smoothies though, she waited to get everyone’s order to go back and make at the same time. I ordered first and there were 4 people behind me ordering. She waited to collect all of their orders before she went back to make them. My total wait time was 17 mins since I ordered. It was ridiculous! For the high price they charge, I would expect them to make orders as they come and as timely as possible. Tropical smoothie is better than them. Disappointed and...

Dtox products are great but this location is terribly managed. The store is randomly closed at times it’s posted hours say it’s open. I tried to place a delivery order and then call to pay for a few items that are not on GrubHub and the manager said she could not take my credit card over the phone for security reasons. I asked her what that meant and her response was that she couldn’t verify who I was. I already placed an order with my name on it and with the same card; she was not thinking logically at all.
