Yes, it was me and my friends. ( I didn't do this alone, I have friends) We did hostage room and the game master was Kana. I am very sure I got her name wrong. She is a 5 foot 5 , blonde hair , white girl. she helped as a lot and in a way that is not obvious. I thought it was very cool. To be honest, she was like I will give you guys 3 clue but she just helped us all the way through because we were already stuck on the first step. Hostage is a great room for smart people but we weren't that smart. 10/10 bussin.
There is also a guy who was a game master for mystery mansion . He is tall and he talk slow. I don't know his race but he was a great game master too and the room was very good too. I think this room is perfect for medium brain people like my friends and I . Galaxy brain people can choose harder room.
I have been saying all the good stuff ,so I should also write about a room that is not good in this thing; it is called submarine survival. We have to read and do math for this. and I wouldn't complain about reading but it felt like a test reading, too much reading and what kind of math question. it's not whole number, it was adding numbers like 107.25 and 109.18. I rather take calculus in college failed that class and take that class again because I am required to get my degree and fail that class again then ever adding and subtracting numbers with decimals. Also we got a ancient calculator we couldn't see well . 2/10 room, Absolutely horrendous experience from that room.
but yeah...
Read moreBreakout Games in Atlanta kept us on our toes! Their rooms ranged from pretty easy to ridiculously difficult and everything in between. My husband and I played all eight rooms and came out with a 50% escape rate, which is much lower than our average success rate of 75% over the 100+ total rooms we've done. Some puzzles were straightforward and others we would never figured out in a million years without a clue from the game master. Speaking of game masters, Kelvin was by far one of the very best we've ever had at any location! Super friendly and helpful, quick to respond and we would totally be friends in real life lol. Breakout was also one of the most expensive places we've ever played (based on price per player per room) even with a small discount that was applied when we asked since we played ALL their rooms. We didn't find it much better from a mechanical, technical or decorative stand point compared to less expensive rooms if I'm honest. Most places offer some kind of punch card or discount if you play all their rooms. Overall we had a great time and enjoyed our time spent...
Read moreThis was our first escape room experience and we were blown away. We played "Clue" with 3 adults and 2 third graders and had the best time during our hour experience. I don't want to give anything away, but the multi-room interactive experience had production value far beyond what I expected.
Our game master Sam was amazing too. He was great at getting us started and offering us an occasional nudge in the right direction when we asked for it and did it with wit and humor that fit the room. We completed our room in 52 minutes and we really felt like we had accomplished something at the end! We visited BreakOut Games while on our son's winter break from school and this was easily the highlight of the week.
Doing an escape room isn't the cheapest form of entertainment, but we were able to use our GetOut passes (which we love) and was the primary reason why we chose to try Breakout first. We're so glad we did and we ended up walking out having bought a discounted gift card for next time and were already trying to decide what room to do next on...
