The day after it snowed here in Atlanta my SO and I were on the hunt for open places to do some shopping and have lunch. We stopped in and were seated after about waiting for 3 mins. Browsed over the menu and we decided to try something new (Takoyaki-octopus balls) and order the ramen of our choice. I opted for the Cha Cha Cha-Garlic lovers choice and he went with the Sukiyaki Q ramen. The Takoyaki was surprisingly delicious. I have expected a cold mushy ball of overcooked octopus, but it was hot, steamy and tender. All of the flavors just melded together beautiful. If you're up for something new definitely give these a shot. The ramen order did take a while (longer than 15 mins) but we had our app out so we were fine and the place was crowded. When our ramen came out I was so excited, but the excitement slowly faded...My garlic lovers ramen had little to no garlic flavor, I even pressed 5 more cloves in and it was still underwhelming. The noodles were a little tough and the broth was warm, not hot like I would've wanted. After adding in some of the side sauces like soy, chili etc it tasted a little better. The SO was mostly happy with his ramen, but same complaints..the flavor was underwhelming until after half the condiments were added in. I'd give this place another go just because it was during...

I’ll start with the chicken. Soggy breading but also somehow totally dry inside. It ripped apart like a dry sponge when I bit into it. Tried dipping it in the hot sauce. Not only was the sauce not hot…it tasted spoiled. I don’t know if they make that in house or if it’s a bottle product, but it tasted so off I stopped eating because I thought I may get sick.
And the ramen? Oh good lord the ramen. How does something as simple as a chicken ramen go so wrong? It tasted AWFUL. And I mean AWFUL. Somehow both utterly flavorless and also, again, “off”. Something about the broth tasted spoiled. I’m not trying to be a Karen, I have been to Jinya before and very much enjoyed my meals there. This time was horrible I actually felt the obligation to leave a review. This food was TERRIBLE. It was to the point that I wanted to ask if the refrigerator was broken or something because the food tasted so spoiled. I won’t be returning any time soon and as I sit here I’m really hoping I don’t end up with food poisoning because I’d bet actual money that the food I consumed was not safe for consumption. I know what spoiled food tastes like, this was spoiled...
Read moreI have been to 2 Jinya locations and this one is by far the best! We went late on a Saturday night. They were not supposed to be accepting any more large tables (we were a group of 5) and yet, they let us! We did wait a while because they were scarce on tables, probably waited about 45 minutes. However, when we got inside, things moved very quickly. Right when we walked in, they had a QR code for us to scan with your phone to chose our food. My go to order is the Tonkotsu (non spicy) with an egg and it did not disappoint! The broth was so flavorful. The serving size is more than enough. I had to get half my bowl to go. By the way, when you order to go, they will put it in your to go bowl for you, which is nice. I also want to mention that I also ordered a coke and was offered over 3 times to get a refill by more than three servers. Their customer service was so great, even late on a Saturday night. We had the best server when we were there too. I unfortunately don’t remember his name but he was super enthusiastic, had great service, had cool tattoos and wouldn’t stop checking...
