See my 3/10/23 update below. I really like this place’s atmosphere and setup. The bar selection was great and the server attentive. The reason I gave it three stars is the bizarre way the food came out. We ordered an app which the server left to put in. She came back within five or so minutes to take our main orders. After leaving to put those in, she came back 10 minutes later with one of the three entrees we ordered. About 10 minutes after that, she came back with the second entree. She came out with the appetizer about five minutes after that. The final entree arrived about 10 minutes later. Like I said, bizarre. That said, the food was outstanding. You can tell they’re really trying (and succeeding). Just excellent and tasty food. I loved the braised pork belly. I plan to give them another try at five stars, so hopefully they’ll work everything out. Update on 3/10/23: I went back for another try and they knocked it out of the park. The food was still excellent, the drinks were excellent, and the service was what one would expect for a nice place. I also got to sit in the speakeasy in the back, which I had no idea existed. It was just a great time. Don't miss this one!

This place is conveniently located and might have some potential but most of what I had was just…nasty. Cheese garlic bread was fine, but the brussels—a big heaping bowl— were drenched in this thick thai inspired sauce (the consistency of BBQ sauce) that was kinda spicy? It overpowered the brussels because of the amount and the unpleasant aftertaste when you’re supposed to use glaze for brussels. My friend got the crab cake but if it is not described as lump i never give it a chance anyway. This one had decent flavor but I wouldn’t try it again. The fried dumplings weren’t terrible but the sauce they come with was like a watered down soy, not the sweet dumpling sauce you’re supposed to use. The drinks were not appealing—the Jessica Rabbit tasted like pure lemon juice and water mixed with ice and topped with a garnish. I then got a moscow mule which seemed tricky for the bartender…that is a staple drink and I can tell when there’s not quality ginger used + too much ice. I also don’t take it seriously when it’s not served in a copper mug. I’m only giving 3 stars because the service is solid but whoever is in the kitchen doesn’t know flavor and that was completely disappointing.

We made a reservation through the Seated app (app lets you earn cash back for eating out). We arrived 7:45 on a Saturday and it was very busy. We were seated outside. They have fans, but no screens and I don't know if flies are more active at sunset, but we and other tables were battling 🥊 houseflies until the sun went down. We were celebrating someone getting a new job, so we ordered a LOT. We started with the crispy Thai chili wings (4) garnished with radish cubes 🐓. They came with a warm hand towel to clean your sticky fingers when done, which I liked 😉. We got the Dim Sum sampler platter with a combo of steamed and fried dim sum 🥟🤤. We also got the Fried Spring Rolls, Beef Dumplings, and Crispy Brussel Sprouts. The sprouts were really flavorful, but a liiiiiitle salty 🧂, but I'd definitely order it again 🤷🏾‍♀️. We got the BBQ octopus 🐙 which was SO tender and smoky. Loved it. The Shaking Beef 🥩 is very tender, and the side salad is intriguing with cilantro, mint, and pickled red onion intermixed. The beef had subtle seasoning (prefer bold flavors), so we really appreciated being able to eat it with slices of pickled onion and the herbs. Their drinks are really good too. We really liked the Wilson, Maverick, Johnny 5 Alive, Dirk Digler, and Gold Member 🍹🍸. They can also make a mojito if you ask. My sis asked for a mojito with Gin, and they made it and it was AWESOME. Who knew 🤔? Finally we got the Baked Atlanta Key Lime and it was a hit with the entire table. Like eating lime flavored clouds 💚☁️. We also got the Coconut Cream Pie which comes with ice cream 🥥🍦. It was really good, but we wished the coconut flavor was a little stronger, but maybe out palates had been overwhelmed by the stronger lime dessert 🤷🏾‍♀️. The entrees are a bit small ⚠️, I don't think you could order only an entree and get full. The service was great. Our waitress was very attentive and empty dishes did not stay at the table for long. Will definitely go back to try more things and revisit my favs (Dim Sum, Octopus, and Baked Atlanta...

This is a nice restaurant and the staff are very friendly. I'm giving it a 3 star because I felt very uncomfortable whilst I was there. The girl serving at the bar was coughing throughout and you could tell from her voice that she was sick. I felt bad because I understand the need to work even when you're sick, but given the pandemic and this new Omicron variant, I was very very uncomfortable. She did have a mask on but was coughing a lot and she was serving drinks from the bar and touching cups and glasses that people would drink from, considering the pandemic, she shouldn't be working in a restaurant whilst she's sick, I'm sure it wasn't Covid as I'm assuming the restaurant makes staff get tested if their sick, but as a customer you just never know. Then another guy working at the restaurant, I think he might have been the manager, was blowing his nose constantly and I could see his nose running, so he was sick too but working in a restaurant. I would have given this restaurant 4-5 stars if not for this, but it made me very uncomfortable and I found it a little bit inconsiderate of them both to put others in a position to catch whatever they had. The man was sneezing and blowing his nose but keep his mask round his next instead of wearing it over his nose and mouth at the very least. Even if they don't have Covid and its a cold or a flu, I don't want to go to any restaurant with the staff coughing and sneezing as they handle my food and drinks, its just inconsiderate. I feel bad because they were nice but please be more considerate of your customers and don't serve in a restaurant when you're sick. People are trying to continue dining out to support local restaurants and we need to feel that restaurants are being responsible during the pandemic and not allowing sick staff to work and...

My lady and I decided to come to this restaruant on a whim because it looked nice. Now it was Christmas eve and not many people were in the spot. the host was chilling at the bar and welcomed us in though we didn't feel welcome.

Our server provided us with the worst service i have expierenced in my restaruant expierences. I asked if there were any specials, I got a flat reply "No". There were no recommendations and I felt like i was intruding on her day by just being there. The music they were playing in the patio was way too loud and i was basically shouting to my girl across the table.

We ordered drinks, while still looking at the menu and they took a while to come even though the restaruant was empty, We finally ordered our food and we had veggie gyoza and lobster rangoons. I loved the rangoons! my girl didnt like the gyoza. Finally the main entree came out, and at this point we were already fed up because of the service and atmoxsphere that we were provided ,but i wanted to give the food a chance.

I got the fried red snapper and my lady had the shaking beef, the green beans were unseasoned and not flavourful at all. the red snapper with the red sauce on top was fried great and paired nicely with the red sauce but the snapper lacked flavour and was being carried by the sauce. the shaking beef was good for my lady but the pickled red onion was subpar and she didnt even touch it.

We ordered a side of potatoes and corn. They were nothing to write home about. All and all Girl Diver has some flare, but their lackluster food and uninspired service left a lot to be desired ESPECIALLY AT THIS PRICE POINT! Unfortunately we will not be dining here again, because if the service is this bad during a slow night I would hate to live the nightmare of it being...
