Grindhouse Killer Burgers — Restaurant in Atlanta

About three weeks ago I did decided to try this place out for the first time. The difference is that I had my mother-in-law with me. We wanted to try something different. So I suggested that we stop in and check out this burger joint. We were in the area and very hungry. We stepped inside, glanced at the menu, and made our decision. We order our burger with some sweet potato fries. The individual repeated our order back to us, we agreed and paid $31.00 which is what the order came to, along with a fountain drink that was suprisely small. It was a to-go order. We sat waiting for our order, it took about 15 minutes to be exact. I noticed that one order of fries was regular and the other one was sweet photo. So I told the waiter that both fries was supposed to be the same. He said okay and proceeded to tell me that they were going to charge me to switch it out. What! I said we had already paid for it. I politely asked to speak with a manager. The manager came out and asked how can he help. So I explained to the entire situation and he said he could switch out the original fries for the sweet potato fries but he was going to charge me extra. I told him that I paid for those fries already. He checked the system only to find that the employee put the order in wrong. So I suggested that he ask his employee about my order. She verified the exact same thing I was telling the manager, she even admitted she made a mistake. (Surely, he was going to accept the mistake and do the right thing ). The manager insisted that he was going to charge me extra for something that I had already paid for. I had had enough, I asked for my money back, and this is the review. ...

This place had some excellent reviews and it looked rather intriguing so I figured that I had to give it a try. The cashier was very pleasant and helpful as we tried to figure out what to eat. We are in and the restaurant was clean but the bathroom could have used a little touch up as shown in the pics. The food got to the table rather quickly and it was hot, fresh, tasty and even looked nice. The burger was cooked exactly how I requested and the Brussel sprouts were so very good in the chili sauce that they were served in. The loaded Fries were good too. I got the Yankee style burger and everything paired so well together. My friend got the Dixie Style burger and that too was very flavorful. I absolutely love the decor and the whole theme of the place. It has its own little vibe going on and I was really digging it. The only reason why I didn’t give this place 5 stars ⭐️ was the simple that we had to wait in a very long line to be waited on and that was cool because I can understand places getting busy, especially if the food is as good as this place was, but waiting in a super long line only to be told that they didn’t take cash was a major bummer for us. We had to get out of line, go to the card, find a debit card and then get back in another long line to be able to order and pay for our food. They should have that posted in HUGE letters somewhere other than on a little tiny sign outside. That would be something that I would recommend that they put on their website so that people will know that before they stand in a super long line for nothing. Blanche Devereaux here again and honey let me tell you, I came for the name but I'll be back for the buns honey. My date asked me to go to grind house and I assumed it was the hottest new club and at first I was a bit disappointed seeing that I was dressed for some dancing, my date assured me I would enjoy our date anyway. So I enjoyed the junior gindhouse burger and he ordered the Yankee turkey burger; the YANKEE burger you know that is when I realized that our relationship would not work. But a true Atlantan southern woman knows to be polite at a date so we got a combo of onion rings and fires to share and sat down at the bar with my date. The onion rings and fries were good. The bar is full of toy robots and it is interesting thing to look at which is nice since my date was duller than an afternoon in July but not as hot. The bar staff were nice enough but this is a mostly self service joint. My burger was tasty and my date likes his as well. There are many options for the burgers so I am sure to bring a more fascinating date for next time to try another burger, perhaps the cowboy ;) There is an outside seating area that is heated as well and my beautiful piedmont park right down the road.
