Giving a low review due to repeated service issues dealing with this particular store. I actually really like their pizza and (strangely) have not had any issues ordering from Uber eats from this location and great service from the Decatur location.
However this store is a mess. I have ordered 3 different times direct from the store. Everytime it was upwards of 45 mins - 1 hour and I am only about 2 miles away. Thats not even the problem though. They have this ornate delivery “tracking” system but every time I have ordered the driver marks the order “delivered” anywhere from 15-30 minutes before the actual delivery, rendering their entire tracking system useless. If you call when this happens they just tell you that the drivers mark the orders delivered beforehand (?) and to expect your pizza soon.
What’s worse, recently I tried to order again and it was a bit late (but still a half hour prior to the delivery order cut off). I waited about 40 minutes and then got a call from someone at the store with the worst/most nonsensical story I’ve ever heard something like they didnt get my order and they couldn’t deliver it (despite her knowing my order and how to contact me) and that I should get a refund in five days. She was not a manager. I know stuff happens at restaurants but her explanation made zero sense and I had the strong impression that they just didn’t want to make my order. Great. As an addition at this point in the night it was too late to order anywhere else. I guess I just won’t eat tonight, thanks Marcos!
Like I said really a shame because their product is good and I’ve had excellent service from other locations. This is probably the worst Marcos in the area - there is a lot of other good pizza options in this area if I were you I would just avoid. Read moreI will NEVER order from this Marco's again! In the past week I have ordered from there twice and chose a delivery time of 11:45am to ensure that I had the pizza for an event at 12:00pm. The first time, my order was 30 minutes late and I had to call to get an update on the status of my order.
This second time is the real issue though. I ordered again for my food to be delivered at 11:45am. By 12:00pm, I did not have my order so I called to get an update. The employee said, "The delivery driver had an issue but is on the way. Do you still want us to make the food?" (Problem One and Two: It's 15 minutes after my delivery time and my order is not even made. Also, no one called me to communicate the fact that the delivery driver would not make it in time.) I just asked them to make the food and I would come and pick it up myself. When I got there, they were still in the process of making the order, but the employee did walk the pizzas out to my car for me.
Obviously, I asked for a refund of the delivery fee and tip since my order was not delivered. I was told to call back at 3:00pm to speak to a manager. I got busy at work and didn't end up calling until around 4:30-4:45. The employee knew what I was calling about and put me on hold for about five minutes, then told me that they needed to wait for the owner to call back and they would call me back after they spoke to the owner. (Problem Three: No call back.) Now today, I have called again and was told the manager stepped out and they would tell him to call me back.
At this point, I feel as if I'm being given the run around. Because of that, I will not be ordering from this Marco's again. They're unreliable and have poor customer service and communication skills. It's unfortunate because the pizza is always good, but I can't with the poor...

I decided to do delivery today, which was a terrible experience. I placed my order at 12:15 pm. The “promised time” was 12:45 pm. I received a notification that it was out for delivery at 12:41 pm. I live 1.3 miles from this location.
When my pizza hadn’t arrived by 1:15, I called the store to see if there was an issue. The lady who answered stated that they only had one driver and that our pizza wouldn’t be cold. She could not provide any updates.
When I had not received my pizza by 1:40, I called again. She stated that if the pizza was not there in 5-10 minutes to call again. I asked if I would receive any compensation or discount for this significant delay and was told I would have to speak to the manager.
The pizza was delivered at 1:50 pm.
I understand only having one delivery driver and the delays associated with that fact. My main issue is that if you know the delivery is going to take over an hour and a half why post a promised delivery time of 30 minutes. If I had known the delivery would take this long, I would have drove to the pizza place myself. Why would I pay $4.99 extra to wait forever?
I would ask that there be more accurate delivery times. In the time it took my pizza to be delivered, I could have reordered another pizza, picked it up, and eaten it 30-45 minutes before mine was ever delivered.
Needless to say I will never order delivery from this location again. Although it’s the closest location to me, I’ll probably drive to a different location if I decide to get Marco’s again simply based on my personal interactions with the staff today.
