Was trying to introduce a friend to Ted's who has never been before. Extremely underwhelming dining experience.
Started with ordering drinks. The first drink that was brought out had visible ranch salad dressing inside the sides and bottom of the cup of tea. Brought it to bartenders attention and she repalced it. Tough start but OK.
We finally get to a point where we can order our food and ask for the salads and appetizers to be brought out before our main dishes. About 45 mins later my food starts coming out what felt like reverse order. My main meal came out first, followed by my salad that came out 5-10 mins later that came with only half a container of salad dressing and then my appetizer (chili) came out last and cold about 10-15 mins after. Additional dressing or condiments has to be "ordered" so had to wait 5-10 mins for each condiment request. My food also came out 10-15 mins before the rest of the table.
2nd person at table specifically ordered a salad with a steak on top. Her order was delivered to the wrong guest at the bar and the food that was brought to her was made exactly how she said she did not want it made (ordered a steak salad instead of a burger salad) Random guest at bar got steak salad while she got the burger salad. The theme of having food runners who did not know who ordered what at the bar continued through the night.
3rd Guest ordered a Medium Steak with brocolli, a baked potato and a side salad. When the food started coming out for her we were only then notified that the restaurant was out of baked potatoes and that she could order a different style of potato. We obliged and she ordered mashed potatoes. Not even 2 mins later there is someone running out to the bar asking if someone ordered a baked potato with baked potato in hand🙃Steak came out rare, was sent back to be cooked further then the steak was returned well done. Comment was even made by staffer about it being overcooked when she brought it out but seems like she was hoping that we would just accept it anyways. Had to be sent back and removed from check. Side salad never made it out but still made it on the check. Was properly removed from check.
Overall, not the best experience. Did not seem like other Ted's that have been visited in the past. While it was busy, our dinner with the restaurant seemed slovenly and unorganized. Might be an outlier experience but felt like we were in the middle of a "Kitchen...
Read moreI used to work at Teds, and we go to Teds frequently in Marietta. This is the second time we've been to this location, and both times have been a nightmare.
The first time we came here, I ordered the bison nachos. They came out, and there was a huge piece of gristle the size of an Italian sausage. I didn't know what it was, and was so grossed out when I realized what it was. They did not re-make my nachos, and they did not discount or cover that meal. The service was sub par as well.
The second time we came here was yesterday, Sunday. We arrived at 11:45 and wanted to sit at the bar. It was not set up and there were crumbs all over the counter, showing that it was not cleaned the night before. We had to wait for a bit so they could get set up, even though they were open. I ordered a Margarita and when it was served to me there was a bug in the middle of my drink. She re-made my drink. We then ordered chips and dip, and the dip was a hard ball of sour cream with things mixed in it. Not the creamy ranch dip we usually get. In addition, the chips were cold from the night before. There's no way you open a restaurant, make fresh chips and receive cold chips within the hour of opening.
Then we ordered, my husband got a salad and I wanted strawberry shortcake... it was the main reason we came in. After my husband got his salad, the waitress said they didn't have any strawberries. Really? In the middle of summer with your most popular dessert? Ok. The bartender then said she had some puree behind the bar, and the waitress was making my shortcake fresh. The shortcake was cold, and it was old.
I have never had this kind of experience at any other Teds in or around atlanta. It was so disappointing to have 2 back to back bad experiences, and we definitely will not be visiting this...
Read moreReply: Talking about the high standard - fries were not just made and tomato was too watery and the coke was very diluted (I took out all ice immediately but it severed like that) and my PIL ordered Dr. pepper but they were not Dr. pepper. The only thing made fine was the patty. We did not complain about the food and left 25% tips to support local business.
Why don’t you just make some effort to check the security camera in the restaurant for yourself and rather than rely on customers’ opinion? It was not just us. I saw other people did the same - a mom holding a baby in her arm and standing over 10mins and servers acted like blind.
We were with parents and did not complain right away because are concerned if someone would spit on our food. We will not go back anyway so will stop answering here. —————————————————————
The food is okay but the management needs some improvement.
Sunday 1:22pm — Four people in and started waiting to be seated. No servers or any staff came to check or talked and just pretend not to see for 15mins. 1:37pm — Got a table 1:46pm — Took an order for both drink and food 1:57pm — Got the drinks 2:12pm — Finally got food 2:33pm — Waiting the server to ask the check 2:49pm — Done!
The restaurant was not busy but only two servers working. It was weird the servers acted like blind and not to find us but suddenly became very friendly to take an order.
We had a good experience last few times when we came in the evening in weekdays. It looks like the operation doesn’t work well on Sunday. Hope hire more people or offer some training or so.
It simply doesn’t make a sense to be waited so long 1 hour and 40mins at the restaurant with less than...
