Firstly, let's talk atmosphere. Given that my experience was carry-out, managing expectations accordingly is key. The ambiance wasn't that great, but I can't help but wonder if the summer months . I can see some potential then. The smoked meats were the main event. I opted for the half slab rib and smoked turkey wings. It was dry rub on both the ribs and wings. However, this allowed the true flavors of the meat to shine through. It seemed like a consistent seasoning was used so I enjoyed the flavor. If you prefer a meat-centric experience over drowning everything in sauce, you should try this place. For sides I hadnCollard Greens, Mac & Cheese, and Fried Okra. Each side dish delivered exactly what you'd expect, with a touch of restaurant-style seasoning. The flavors were on point, and they complemented the meats well. Nothing over-the-top, just good, honest sides that hit the spot. I would come back to try the brisket. If the ribs and turkey wing were any indication, I have a feeling it will be worth coming back.

First off let me say I had high hopes because of the reviews! I ordered online via DoorDash delivery was quick when food arrived it was cold and for me to be only 10 minutes or so aways tells me that my food had been cold for sometime. I ordered two Rib tip platters and a slice of cake our sides were cream corn, baked beans and potato salad. My ribs were tough, dry, flavorless and cold my corn was a new taste not bad not good just ok! And my potato salad I was very disappointed in because we can’t mess up our potato salad it’s in our blood. My potato salad had the skin from the potatoes still on not used to that big chunks of potatoes and eggs where also throughout it seem like they did not want to make it or it was rushed Anybody who knows me know I love my potato salad so this was very disappointing. The highlight of the meal was the two different kids of sauce for the rib tips!!! The cake was dry and not good as well. Just not really the best experience overall.

Enjoyed the combo platter of whole wings, brisket, and ribs with mac n cheese and fried cream corn. Since it was my first time, I tried the pork sausage too. The basting of the whole wings while being smoked was perfect, creating a great flavor with a tender crust. The dry rub on the ribs was full of flavor and tender. The brisket was tender with a perfect smoke ring. The pork sausage was mild with a smooth texture and crisp bite. Now, the fried cream corn will make your tongue smack your brain around! Their original BBQ sauce has a great sweet flavor that paired well with the brisket. Being a BBQ connoisseur (someone who sniffs out BBQ everywhere I go), this is great place to search out! Looks like outdoor dining and takeaway is their primary business right now, but the service is great and food quality is on point! I'll definitely be back! Keep it up! Thank you for keeping it real! Gotta ask, what wood are you using?

So I went yesterday to try this restaurant that had caught my eye for a while. I saw the people outside waiting for their food and knew I had to try it.

When I first arrived it looked closed so I went to a few stores near by and came back to find out it was open, there just wasn’t any signs or indications of it being open when I first drove past.

I ordered the hickory salmon bites and the smoked turkey wing plate with Mac n cheese and collard greens which by my surprise was only $30.

The owner was super cocky about the dishes when I asked if they were good and didn’t seem interested in much conversation but did answer my questions. I told him I would be making this review with my name on it lol.

I received my food piping hot which I love and the turkey wings fell apart I could taste the smoke but I wish they had a little more of the flavor from the juice that collected at the bottom. The collard greens were good as well. The mac and cheese was basic but way better than what other restaurants offer I would say. My disappointment was the salmon bites. Although the flavor was there they were dry and crushed my spirit as I love smoked salmon and was told these were GREAT! I do see the potential for them to be great but out of 6 bites only one of the small ones had the tenderness I was looking for.

That will not stop me from going back though as the food was good and there are other things I want to try such as the ribs and the brisket and so much more. Minus the “little tude” I will definitely be back. It’s nice to have this option in this area!

Food 4/5

Service 4/5 (the speediness of my food being ready saved a point)

i am very disappointed in this first experience with this place. for starters, here is what I ordered via DoorDash: turkey wing platter w/ collard greens n mac; smoked wings app, salmon bites app, 4 sweet potato muffins. $50 later, what i got was a bbq chicken platter, NO collard greens, 2 mac n cheeses, 6 salmon bite pieces, smoked wings, and only 3 muffins. there was no communication from the restaurant or the driver (which i already took up with DoorDash) that the turkey wing platter was out of stock. they replaced it with the BBQ wings making it way more chicken than we wanted or needed. I don’t even know if they were out of collards or not. the muffins we did get were overcooked. I will say that the food overall tasted pretty solid—my children and i liked the taste of the muffins once we got past them being overdone. the mac n cheese was flavorful n cheesy. however, i need those salmon bites to be in the $7-8 range because baebae, WHY are we paying $12 for a small piece of salmon cut up into only 6 smaller bite size pieces?? Sigh… it’s close to the house, so i may give them one more shot but i will do it as a walk up and not thru a delivery service again. I even tried calling the business directly to get clarity on my order...

My young daughter and I were in the general vicinity and had seen the restaurant on Instagram. We'd saved the video so that we could give them a try. Boy are we glad we did! We didn't order ahead, so when we placed our orders, we settled in for what we thought would be a long wait. We were wrong. I ordered a half slab of ribs with collards and potato salad. My daughter ordered the 2piece chicken platter with fried Okra and potato salad. Our orders came up after a short wait. My ribs were tender and flavorful. I think I make the best ribs and so do my kids but these were on point. The collards were the best from a restaurant that I've had. I don't usually like sweet potato salad but it was good and went well with the ribs. My daughter loved the fried Okra. She kept commenting on how good the breading was so I had to try a couple and she was right. I'm guessing she enjoyed the chicken too since the bones looked like they'd been lying in the desert for years after she finished with them. We'll make a trip just to visit this place (coming from Gwinnett) next time. I hope the community realizes what a gem they have in their midst and frequents The PCC often. We'll...
