Dos Caminos — Restaurant in Atlantic City

Dos Caminos ! don’t bother ! On Aug. 27, 2023 , my daughter and I entered the restaurant to dine about 9pm ( this was w/ a reservation they accepted although they close @ 10pm ). Before we could be seated comfortably, the assigned server asked “ Are you ready to order ? “ we asked if she could give us a few minutes to look over the menu. That seemed to annoy her, but she did. She return quickly and asked “ can I get you something besides water to drink? “ We placed our drink order and continued to look over the menu. When she returned with the drinks she again asked to take our food order. Because the vibe felt off ; and it seemed we were being rushed we placed our meal order. I pacifically asked that NO croutons be placed in my salad. She acknowledged, but when the food was bought to the table, my salad had the croutons. I let the kitchen staff members who brought the food to us know that ” I no longer wanted the salad “ because I requested no croutons! She returned and asked if everything was okay. I mentioned the salad came with croutons and she !!immediately!! Went into nasty mode. She aggressively said “ I wrote it several times on the order , no croutons, so it’s not my fault! I never accused her of not placing the order correctly, I was just letting her know that my salad did not come the way I wanted. Because this woman was being so nasty, my daughter asked to speak with the manager. The manager came over and we explained to her that since we walked into ‘ Dos Caminos ‘ it was a very hostile vibe between us and the server and we would like her not to wait on us anymore( please get someone else to wait our table ). The manager seemed very nasty as well, but she did get someone to take over the table. As we further dined, the old wait woman started passing our table and acting like a little child. Rolling her eyes , trying to be intimidating and just very unprofessional about the matter. As she left the restaurant because her swift ended her and my daughter had words. She went and told the manager something and the manager came over and told my daughter she should leave her alone. My daughter explained what had happened after we made the request for her to be unassigned as our serving, but the manager took the server’s side and began to go back and forth with my daughter. It got to a point where the manager now wanted security involved. She was very unprofessional as well, especially being the manager. I say all this to say, don’t waste your time or money in this establishment. The food is mediocre and the professionalism of the staff...

I had a terrible experience at this establishment. The server was very rude and inattentive. There was an error in something my mother ordered and she was not apologetic, she instead blamed the kitchen. She offered my mother something else and when my mother declined she got upset and asked so are you done you want to wrap this up, referring to my food item. I was completely shocked and offended by her abrasive attitude. I asked to speak to a manager and the manager Justina stopped to listen to the server and her rendition of the incident instead of coming straight over to us to address the matter. I asked for the server to be removed from serving us which she did. Once removed from serving us, every time the server had to come past our table she rolled her eyes at us. I then addressed this with the manager and she said I don’t think she did that. I got upset and she continued to go back and forth with me and tried to address how I was handling being upset instead of taking accountability for what I told her occurred. Now this is the manager!!!! How do you address me getting frustrated after I tell you what I encountered!!! There was no instance in which she apologized for the severs behavior or tried to make the situation right. I have never in my life encountered something so unprofessional in my life!!!! If there was a such thing as a/2 star than this place would definitely be in the running. Came here to celebrate my grandmother’s 90th birthday. We literally waited 30 min to get a server and water. After two other tables arrived and were seated by the manger and were served while we still waited for chips. I spoke to the manager and to put it mildly he was disinterested. He said in the middle of my conversation let me get you water. After pouring the water I asked for his GM’s #, he simply walked away without even acknowledging my request. I notice he walked to the bar started flickering with remote and watching sports. Food was flavorless my rice and my rice was ice cold. Prior to checking out I learned that the GM had been there the entire time!😳

Upon paying I asked the hostess to call the manger again. He came and I begin recapping my concerns including him walking off when I asked for the GM! He said “ she left 1/2 hour ago, I said yes but I requested her before that time. Again he acted if I was bothering him and said well I said I’m sorry she not here so have a good night. I was appalled 😱 like did we just eat in this sub par establishment full of his rudeness??? Save your money!! There has to be a Taco Bell close by!!!
