I decided to try this place for the first time, and unfortunately, I was underwhelmed. While the service was pleasant and the waiter was friendly, the food left much to be desired, especially given the price. To start, the rice chicken soup was disappointing—it lacked any chicken pieces and was served lukewarm. I've had much better versions at other Coney Island spots. The skillets were also a letdown; they were barely filling, with sparse toppings that felt like an afterthought. Usually, when I order a skillet, it’s a hearty dish piled high with potatoes and toppings, but this one fell short. Additionally, I asked to substitute toast with tomato slices since I don’t eat bread. Most restaurants either waive the charge or let me know if there’s an extra fee. Here, I was charged $3 for a few of the thinnest tomato slices, and I wasn’t informed beforehand. It’s not a huge deal, but I wouldn’t have made the swap had I known it would cost as much as the coffee, which is also $3. Overall, it was fun to try a new place, but I don’t plan on returning. The food quality and portion sizes just didn’t justify the cost.

It was ok, but $15 for a burger, fries and pop is very expensive for a coney island. I had the Blue Cheese Burger and while it wasn't horrible, I didn't like the steak sauce it was marinated in and would not order it again. The fries were frozen crinkle cut fries and as a result below average (they also were a $3 add on to my burger). I noticed that all of their lunch specials on their board were over $10 a piece. I don't consider that to be a special. I could have gone out for fine dining and spent as much for a significantly better tasting meal. It wasn't horrible, but none of the food stood out and at their prices I will not be back. After tip my entire meal for one cost almost $20. A meal at a coney island should be half of what I paid. If I knew it was that overpriced I wouldn't have gone in the first place. Service was good and the restaurant appeared clean. I will not be back.

SENSITIVE STOMACHS BE WARNED***I ordered food from here on Grubhub and at let me warn everyone with a sensitive stomach Rueben’s are normally a safe bet for me however every single piece of the meat had huge fatty spots as soon as I ate it (which I shouldn’t have finished but I paid for it so I didn’t want to waste it) I became increasingly sick and now I’m fighting for my life in the restroom luckily I made it home I also had the chicken lemon rice soup I ordered two bowls and it tasted like watered down chicken broth and no lemon was sad about that I don’t normally post bad reviews and maybe it was just a bad day for them but I need to warn others who have no gallbladder DO NOT EAT THE CLASSIC RUEBEN!!! (I wish it was all just cheese)

Established restaurant of 25 years with a wonderful reputation of being very quick in service and having delicious food. The owners truly care about their customers and it truly shows. The servers are so nice, it’s refreshing to have genuine friendly service!!! The place is the cleanest restaurant I have ever been in! It’s very impressive how they rock it out! I tell everyone about Spargos that I like, if I don’t like you, I just keep my mouth shut cause i don’t want to see you at my spot. I guess you could call me a Spargos groupie… lol. You can say I’m a fan… yes I’m a huge fan because they treat me well. I love supporting family owned businesses and this one is my favorite go to for breakfast and lunch. I know when I take my customers out to lunch that it will be always be a smooth, good meal. No bumps or rocks… perfection. Thanks Spargos for treating me...
