TL;DR: the fish is bad. When we went in, the entire restaurant was empty. there was no one there but us. Despite this, we still waited about 20 minutes for our food. I understand sushi takes a while to make, but I can't imagine how long the wait must be when they are busy. Our service was okay. I just wish she had checked on us earlier, especially because there were no other tables. After a bite or two I decided I wanted a side of spicy mayo, but after waiting a minute or so I didn't think she was going to come back around, so I continued eating. She didn't reappear until halfway through our meal. Wish she had shown up after our first bites instead. The real reason why this restaurant got 2 stars: poor quality of fish. It might be improper storage or where they are getting their fish from, but all of it tasted off. I got a bowl of sashimi over rice, which is my go-to when visiting sushi restaurants, and I usually go without sauce, but here, I had to douse my meal in soy sauce and spicy sauce until it was tasty. My eel-loving partner, who normally completely finishes his plate, got about halfway through before deciding he just didn't want to eat it any more because the eel had no flavor, and the eel sauce wasn't good enough to make up for what the dish lacked, and it just didn't taste good. If this place was about half the price, I would have given them 5 stars, because you get what you pay for. But when I pay average prices, I expect average quality. This place was...

I have been a frequent lunch diner here for years, but I felt that now was the most needed time to write a review. I have always been impressed by this place. There cuisine has always been consistently good with service that I cannot complain about. I have been working at my office nearby every other week, and haven’t had the guts to get anything besides fast food until today. I ordered take out the chicken katsu and brought it back to my office/desk. I was still AMAZED that the food tastes just as good as the last time I’d eaten there before COVID. The hostess that I ordered from was extremely welcoming and seemed genuinely happy to see me. I suppose by writing this review, I’m hoping to get others to order food from here, because they deserve it. I would recommend just about anything from their menu. I frequently order the bento box, the chicken katsu, chicken teriyaki, or udon bowl. As mentioned, I have basically NEVER been dissatisfied with their food. I have had my fair share of Asian cuisine, and I can say hands down that the miso soup is the best I’ve ever had. I often wish I had a hot thermos of it to drink throughout...

Tokyo sushi has two separate menus. A sushi styled menu as well as Thai styled menu. The sushi is great I have never had a bad experience. The sushi comes out as expected and taste great. They have a huge variety of sushi, which is hard to pick. I suggest just finding one that sounds good and eating that as there are too many options to just pick one. That Thai food is just as good. They server noodles or rice. With three levels of spice. Unless you really enjoy spicy food, choose the lowest spice available. It’s a hard lesson to learn but I will not make that mistake again. Prices are cheap and the food comes out fast. The staff is always on filling drinks and supply anything else you need to enjoy the food.

A pretty good sushi place in Auburn Hills rigt across from Oakland University. We came in on a weekend evening to meet a friend for dinner. It was bitterly cold out in January and the place was empty. We were the only customers. A few people came in while we were there to pick up take ourt, but that's it. The service was good, as expected. The food was also good., not the best by any means but the sushi was good. Overall I would recommend them if you live in the area.
