Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Auburn

Updated 12/26/24: not really anything new to add besides saying I appreciated them accommodating us tonight. It was a family members bday and my 2 yr old daughter and 4 yr old neice wanted to do ice cream cake after dinner. We asked if it was alright to bring our own cake and they said absolutely and offered us plates and extra silverware and offered to come out and sing still. They just said they can't light candles because it's a fire hazard( which was completely fine) had wonderful food tonight and a good time with the family. The kids were happy, they even brought over extra crayons for the girls.

Right now this is our favorite place to go. The food is always good, service is always prompt and friendly. My 18 month old daughter enjoys going here, they are always super child friendly. And the kids menu is pretty good. She's tried almost everything on the kids menu. It can be really busy but we usually go on Thursdays and it's not bad. It's usually fairly quiet and the food comes fast. I haven't been to an Applebee's anywhere other than the Auburn massachusetts one since moving to MA. So I can't say the same for service and atmosphere everywhere but I imagine the food is probably...

Would more than likely not recommend this place.

Wednesday, September 20 2023 Dinner was good. Bar tender was great. Came in about 430ish. Me and a colleague of mine were having some Sam Adam's Boston lager talls. We had 6 total each between 430ish and 8. The tattooed manager came up and pretty much told us that we were done for the evening.

After the encounter with the tattooed manager, the bar tender wouldn't return to that end of the bar. Even though there were 2 other patrons waiting to place other drink orders. Not even to accept the cash tips we left for her.

We literally were on our phones 90% of the time. Quiet and to ourselves the entire time. weren't rude to the bar tender, other patrons, or staff. We were very polite to everyone. including proper manors(which seem to not be accepted at this location, I guess)

We have been here for the past 2 evenings in a row and haven't once had a manager come and talk to us. And drank way more than 6 beers.

Whatever occurred tonight to convince the tattooed manager to come and talk to us about how we were indulging is beyond me. He was there the last 2 nights and said nothing to us before this evening.

We will take our money somewhere...

Was very much looking forward to a good meal & a Margarita to go after the crappy day I had, (I am disabled) and much to my dismay, my order was very much wrong. Wanted the Double Crunch Shrimp, With EXTRA Cocktail Sauce, and Fries & Greenbeans on the Side & NO COLESLAW. Based on this photo ( with the ticket) Does this look like, Fries, Green beans and Extra Cocktail Sauce that I was of course charged for the extra sauce. I am NEVER one of those customers who ever complains, because I've worked for restaurants... But THANKS A LOT APPLEBEEES....... There is No point in calling to complain, because I am not driving all the way back there for cold food that should've been included to begin with . I'll definitely think twice before I Carside any more orders with you. I would've been better...
