Auburn Plaza Bar & Lounge — Restaurant in Auburn

Me and my family had a terrible experience at Plaza, but me especially. Being the picky eater I am, I just wanted a bacon cheese burger. It wasn’t on the menu, but since it’s a place known for its burgers I thought there wouldn’t be an issue. We ordered our food and waited 40 minutes. The place was empty so we were confused as to what was the hold up, but we were patient and understanding. When our food came, I received a grilled cheese with cheese and bacon…. Not the plain bacon cheeseburger I ordered. I already waited 40 minutes so I getting hangry. I went and told her politely that this isn’t what I ordered. I wanted a bacon cheeseburger plain and simple. The rest of our table continued to eat. The fries were hard as a rock and weren’t edible and The patties on the burgers tasted like frozen patties from the grocery store. Everyone was getting ready to leave and my food STILL was not ready. I was over it at this point and we walked out front and socialized getting ready to leave. The waitress ended up bringing my food out in a to go box and my husband put it in the car. When I went to open it, there was a burger bun with cheese and bacon. NO PATTY. This sent me. We were there about an hour and 45 minutes and I never got my correct order. We had high hopes for good food based on previous reviews, however, our night out with friends was one of disappointment to say the least due to low quality of food. Two people in our party had the War Burgers with Tater Tots and French Fries on the side. The burgers were very greasy although the taste was not bad. It just didn't have lettuce, onions or tomatoes to level it up. The size is a cross between a regular burger and slider. The tots and fries though were very salty, almost too difficult to eat. One person had the chicken sandwich and he said it tasted awful. It was unrecognizable as it was over cooked. Really, it was burnt. From across the table it looked like a huge hamburger patty due to the shape and color. Two of us had the gumbo. There was nothing special about it. I could have done a better job cooking it at home. The worst part is that our friends traveled 30 minutes only to be told that the place was closing at 7:00 due to a private party. We were only able to visit with them for an hour. If we had known this we would have picked a different place to hang out. We were so embarrassed. I don't foresee us...

I don't recommend ordering food from Auburn Plaza. They are not very well organized for serving food, and your order is likely to slip through the cracks.

0:00 - I ordered a small to-go order (two burgers and one order of cheese tots) and was told it would be ready 20-25 minutes after I placed my order.

0:30 - I asked at the counter if my food was ready and was told that it wasn't and that orders were taking longer than expected, up to 40 minutes. I was told that if I had placed an order, the kitchen had my order.

1:20 - I asked if they could look my order up. They looked it up and said it had not, in fact, been sent to the kitchen. They sent the order to the kitchen.

1:50 - I walked up to the counter again, and they told me they gave my order to someone else. They sent my order to the kitchen again.

2:00 - I received my order of two burgers and one order of cheese tots (nothing more)
