Classic City Cookies — Restaurant in Auburn

I was extremely hurt and disappointed yesterday. I have gotten many cookies here for special occasions. Yesterday was different. I had correspondence via instagram for an order. The owner responded and said, she would do it but needed my email address to send an invoice. I had been looking for it and did not get one. These were important to me because my brother has been extremely sick and he turns 60 in a few days. I wanted to cheer him up. As stated, I’ve done business before and had her phone number so I texted to ask about invoice. The owners response…”this is my personal phone number do not text it for business”. Nothing else… seems like the nice way to respond would be, “youmust not know we have a store phone number now, I’ll get the invoice to you but next time use this number.” So unprofessional and basically unkind. I have always been happy enough with the product. Hence multiple orders for special events. I apologized and promptly went to instagram and cancelled my order and apologized again. Again zero response. I think good business practice would, be an apology for her rudeness. I guess a dozen cookies aren’t worth her concern. I am very sad about this. Very doubtful I will do business again. I have always been an understanding consumer and know how busy the shop is. HOWEVER, I will not tolerate being treated...

Absolutely disappointed with how this business handles their orders. I placed an order for custom cookies and I was told they would be ready on my date. Then I was Facebook messaged about my order and did not respond right away so my order was cancelled. Absolutely terrible business, to send a confirmation through Facebook messaging system while I am working all day and cannot look at my phone during the day. I did not respond in time, and instead responded a couple hours later on my break when I was available. So my order was cancelled 1 day before I needed them for an event. Will not be ordering from this businesses ever again, and will not recommend them to others. As a business owner myself, this is not how to handle...

This was our first time stopping here and just to be clear it was a little later in the day so I can only speak to our experience. The place is a neat little shop in an older building so there is a nice atmosphere in there. The person that was there was very nice and helpful. Our selection of cookies was limited due to the time of day we were there. We got a frosted sugar cookie, triple chocolate chip cookie, and a snicker doodle. All were good size. Taste was good but felt like they were missing just a little something. Overall it was a good experience and would recommend checking it out. Go early for best...
