I always get the same thing…. Chef salad and it has always been a salad worth the price it is at almost $14 but now the salads are worth a mere $10 if that due to its drastic size and weight I’ve been accustomed to. They have changed the to-go box which shouldn’t limit the prior size of the salad it used to be because more can be packed inside of the new container they give now. This salad cost toooooo much for what’s now HALF THE SIZE of its original size. I’ve bought it twice now being with the new carry out option and unfortunately I will not be buying it again. IT IS LITERALLY LIKE PAYING FOR A BAG OF CHIPS AND YOU KNOW HALF OF IT IS AIR! If someone is paying almost $15 for a salad, IT SHOULD LOOK LIKE A $15. They have indeed lost a customer and this salad has been on rotation of my meal plan for umpteen years……

One of the only Original BBQ joints in town left standing in Auburn. They did an OverHaul and built a brand new building. The feel is perfect and the newness doesn’t take away from the old feel. The red chair is still there, if you’re wondering. The food portion is big and the taste is like the original spot. The only complaint is the time to receive our food. Not on the servers, it’s on the kitchen. Servers were amazing. I noticed that a drive thru was built and is going to be in service soon. If the time frame for the food inside is way too long and they better have this figured out before the drive thru opens or the time with get longer since you are serving 2 different ways. Overall, the BBq is good and it’s a great family atmosphere.

We came in at 4pm on a thurs and there were only 2 other tables in the restaurant. It took 10 mins for anyone to come to the door to seat us. The server was great and the food came out promptly. However, the food was terrible. The BBQ nachos were chips, dry tough pork, and half melted shredded cheese. The grilled chicken tenders were overcooked and the honey mustard was as thin as water and had a weird tang, I'm assuming it was bad. The brisket on the sandwich wasn't bad, but the fries were cold and undercooked. The skillet apples and sweet potato were good. And apparently prebussing isn't a thing here. Overall it isn't worth the money, I won't be back.

The food sucks new owners took the main dish off menu for children I mean why take off Mac n chz. Honestly when I heard that there was a country's barbecue in Auburn I was so excited I had not been to country's barbecue since they shut the last one down and Montgomery Alabama my parents found out that there was one in Auburn they decided to bring me up here on a Saturday the dish that I have gotten my whole life macaroni add chicken fingers with a salad they decide to take macaroni off I had problems trying to figure out what other side I wanted and the waiter I can't take I can't take his which is my sewing order without putting in what side I wanted well I was trying to figure out what side I wanted because heck I mean you throw this on me and I'm getting the same plate every single time I have been to country's barbecueand now you want to take off macaroni and cheese will you give me if it's going to take a minute I don't know what I want I mean I guess I went with green beans hope they're good but not my whole entire atmosphere and she had an attitude was a very polite for real still haven't gotten my drink honestly because I am sitting here at and it's been about 20 minutes since we have sat down my parents and my son have their drinks but I don't Alan Manny and Larry come on guys let's do better we used to come here for years my mom used to always order the camp stew and always asked to please make sure it was extra hot this is ridiculous I think y'all need to make sure that macaroni and cheese is on the menu every day for kids sake my son has disabilities and has to take medication and so he don't eat a lot during the day the main thing he eats for lunch is macaroni and cheese because because he can't eat a lot please make sure y'all can figure something out because this is just ridiculous I mean the waiter literally said I mean I hope nobody is looking for me why would you say something like that to your? I also would like to add I just got my food and it is cold my parents food is cold. At least my son's food was hot that literally was the only thing that was hot on this table this is ridiculous I have never came to country's barbecue and had this kind of service the waiter was not good the food was cold this was just a horrible experience. The manager here on Saturday the February 1st at 2:34 p.m. what is nice he was wearing a blue shirt he did apologize for the experience that we have done have had today he did make sure that he took care of our meals today which we do appreciate it but this was just not the best experience at...

I have been a Country's customer since the early '90s. It was always great but it has gone downhill a lot in the past couple of years. We've given them a few more chances but this was the last one. I ordered fried chicken which I was told would take 25 minutes. That was no problem as we were still waiting for my daughter to arrive. I put in my order and then about 10 minutes later we put in the orders for my husband and daughter since their food wouldn't take as long as mine. The food all came out and my chicken was burned to the point of being so dark brown that it was almost black. I refused my food and they offered to remake it but by this time it had taken 30 minutes to make so I said I would just rather they take it off my bill and I would get something somewhere else. My daughter's food was wrong. Turned out it was for the table next to us and they had forgotten to make hers. At this point, my husband was the only one with food. It was another 10 minutes before my daughter got food. My husband's brisket slices were pretty much all fat and the beans were like beans with ketchup instead of baked beans. The server had forgotten to bring the bar b que sauce for my husband's meal and didn't check back in with the table until she brought my daughter's food so he didn't have the sauces he had ordered for his brisket. When my daughter's food finally did arrive, she said her black eyed peas tasted like pickles, like someone had dripped pickle juice in them when putting pickles on her plate and the fries were just not good at all ( I tried one). Not once did the manger come to the table but walked around the dining room and could see our table and see that only one person had food. We eventually asked to see the manager. I explained the situation and she took care of the bill. We left with both me and my husband not eating because his food was not edible and my daughter only took her chicken fingers to go as the sides were not good and my husband and I planned to leave to get fast food somewhere. We were very sad and disappointed because we really used to like Country's and we were looking forward to dinner. The staff and management seemed very apathetic and like they just...

We have been coming here for as far back as I can remember. I had a lot of friends work here through college and it was always so good. Our last order was months ago and wasn't great so took a break from it for a while. Gave it another try last night and spent $55 for the last time at Country's BBQ.

Pros: -You can now order online -My 7 year old loved her hot dog with ketchup -They have the good ranch

Cons: -Ordered online at 5:55pm and pickup was at 6:30pm. Arrived late at 6:40pm and still had to wait 25 mins additional so total of more than an hour for food when the restaurant was not busy and had plenty of staff, they were just preoccupied.

-Chicken, fries, fried pickles, and fried green tomatoes all tasted the same, like burnt grease. Time to change the oil. Brunswick stew or soup was full of bones and salt and literally couldn't eat it and the beef brisket was very dry. Just a bad all around meal when usually it is amazing home cooking.

-Staff was not concerned with helping customers. They were all sitting at tables with customers that appeared to be their friends/boyfriends, playing on phones, cutting up and going into the kitchen. Cutting up in the kitchen and peaking around the door staring at the line waiting to checkout. It was like there was no management.

-There were people waiting so long to pay for their meal that they just all tried to pitch in cash and lay it on the counter because the servers were preoccupied.

-The building needs a good cleaning and roof leaks addressed. There is mold all over the ceiling and the floor going to the women's bathroom is literally falling in due to water damage

-Hire management that cares about this establishment the same way the patrons that frequent it for years do. Servers, in order to make money you have to be motivated and customer focused. They are the ones paying you based on your service. I was a server for years and made great...
