Dining area was clean, inviting and comfortable. However the service was deplorable. Placed order and waited a long time. One called we discovered a mistake as they gave another customer my sandwich and gave me his. I understand these things happen. Both parties arrived at the counter at the same time with wrong sandwiches. They were both open so we wanted new sandwiches. Although I was understanding the girl behind counter was quite rude. She told both parties that we took the wrong sandwiches. They were on our tray and when picked up they confirmed what sandwiches we ordered. They wanted us to just switch them...absolutely not as they were both opened and touched. Finally eating once they made the correct sandwich however my partner was already finished with his sandwich. You could tell by the way it was made that they were upset...not good at all. We could hear them talking about us complaining "they were both up here together and they never even said they were not together".... No name tags so I do not know their names. Two females at around 1:45 in the afternoon. To boot we made one meal a combo and they did not ring it up as such. When we left the poor "other customer" was still waiting for correct sandwich.

This is not what D'Angelos is about, and this review is only with the Auburn,MA store (not the company). I went today thirty minutes before close only to find that they closed early. Again. They also refused to pick up their call-in orders. Again.
A few months ago, I called in an order, and was handed the wrong one. When I called about it as soon as I discovered the problem at home, the employee that picked up the call said to call back the next day for either a replacement sandwich or a refund. Couldn't even eat the wrong sandwich due to an allergy. I did, and received the run around that we can't give refunds or exchanges without a manager, and we can't reach the manager right now (left a number, checked back in a few times, then gave up on being contacted). At this point, they need to retrain the employees on proper protocol. Never EVER trust the no receipt option at this store.
The only reason I go back is it's one of my boss's favorite chain shops, and I'm about to go out of my way just to never walk into this Auburn,MA location again. Not worth the fighting, and...
Read moreI’ve never posted a review in my life but felt obligated to this time. I called in an order for a steak, cheese, mushrooms & onions. The Young Lady was absolutely brilliant on the phone, so polite & made sure that my order was correct, she said it’ll be ready in 10 minutes. About 7-8 minutes later I was there & my sandwich was ready & waiting. When I picked it up it felt cold but I put it down to it being wrapped in the tinfoil & the outside bag. Boy was I wrong. This sandwich was cold, not a little cold but absolutely no warmth at all. I was hungry & decided to eat it anyway, or try too. After about 2-3 bites that was enough for me, it tasted absolutely disgusting, I can’t even describe it. I can’t understand how this is even possible other than they found this sandwich on a shelf that had been forgotten for a few weeks. Yes, it was that bad.
