Had a very Interesting experience at this bar while waiting at the gas station next door. We noticed a car parked nearby with two young children inside who looked visibly worried. They eventually got out and started walking around, clearly anxious. My friend politely asked if they were looking for someone, and the kids said, “Yes, our mom has been in the bar for a while, and we can’t see her in there.”
Out of genuine concern, my friend went into the bar to ask if anyone knew the kids or their parent. As soon as he asked, the entire mood inside shifted. People immediately became defensive and confrontational. One man, who we assume was connected to the children as he left in the same car with the women with the children came outside and started acting aggressively, making wild, threatening comments and clearly trying to provoke a reaction.
Shortly after that, a woman came out presumably the mother and she was immediately hostile as well. She snapped that “we just stopped in for water, they wanted to go to the lake.” (It was dusk around that point which makes no sense to her “excuses” and I totally understand wanting to enjoy the day or grab something quickly, but there’s a gas station literally next door where you can get water without leaving your kids alone in a running car. Even if it was just for a quick drink or two, you don't leave young kids unattended in a vehicle while you’re inside a bar. That’s basic safety. That’s basic morals
When my friend said he would call the police out of concern for the kids’ well-being, things escalated even more. Shockingly, instead of trying to de-escalate the situation, the bartender (black hair, mustache, short dude) kept questioning us about why we were there. Even after we explained several times that we were just parked momentarily while waiting for our friend at the gas station.
The bartender didn’t just fail to help; he seemed more aligned with the aggressive man than with any basic concern for the children. I can't support a business where hostility is the response to someone simply making sure kids are safe. If you value basic human decency and the safety of others, I would strongly suggest staying away from this place.
I firmly believe the bartender was friends with the man who was being aggressive and that’s likely why he didn’t step in or do anything to help de-escalate...
Read moreThe worst place I've been too in 10 years. I can't even believe how a bartender would scream and yell at me when I asked for a simple drink order. I talked to 2 other people who agreed. This place is atrocious. Never give them the l light of day because the bartender will make you feel like shit while you order a whiskey...
