Dunkin' — Restaurant in Auburn

Newly renovated location is all shine with service they should be ashamed of. I get that the Dunkin model keeps each person in their role but in a newly renovated location with 5 people behind the counter, not one acknowledged me for two minutes at the register. Ahhh but when I ordered a sandwich and two donuts…. Bing the order computer chimed and donut guy got me my two donuts lickety split. And then back to the wait. The sandwich person was busy doing other stuff in her station I get it but I was the only person in there. After 5 minutes, (it’s comical at this point) the drive through drinks person noticed me lurking around the counter and asks if I need something? Not, “can I help you?” Not, “what can I get you?”…. “Do I need something”. Yes I say. I’m still waiting on my sandwich. “Oh” she says and goes back to making drive through drinks. Not a word other than “oh”. And back to ignoring me, the only customer in the place. At this point, sandwich gal must have overheard (her station faces away), squints at the order screen and makes my sandwich which she cheerfully presents to me and tosses it on the counter. I’m all for efficiency but not instead of a little human touch. This store should have saved on all the chrome and glitz of the renovation, put everything behind a wall and just left a black slot for orders to drop out of. So...

Staff was friendly, especially with how busy it was. Prices were good. I ordered a medium iced mocha latte, 2 orders of plain stuffed bagel minis, and a chocolate glazed donut. The donut was correct, but unfortunately I got the everything bagel minis, even when the slip said plain (see picture 2). They were also cold and I had to heat them up when I got to my hotel (a 2 minute drive from this Dunkin). As for the iced mocha latte, it wasn’t bad however it wasn’t mixed at all, the mocha swirls were all at the bottom. I had to mix it myself when I got back to my hotel. The only reason the bagel minis were an issue for me is because for whatever reason my stomach can’t handle the everything ones, only the plain. So with getting the everything bagel minis I had to give them to my partner. This could be a big issue for people with dietary restrictions. I love this Dunkin! I come here pretty regularly before work during the week. As a Dunkin employee veteran, I know that getting cranky people their coffee in the morning isn’t easy and the staff here always have a smile on their face. It’s nice to see and I usually have pretty good conversations with the drive through person, but today was a more special day than others. I have been dealing with the loss of my partners father and we are now preparing to deal with the loss of his mother. I have been going back and forth between CT and MA and no one at Dunkin obviously knows this. Today, I got my cup iced coffee as usual and someone had written on it “we appreciate you” and I don’t know why they did that, but it literally made my whole day better. So thank you! You guys...
