Do not stay here plain and simple. The place is not serviced well at all. Irene tried her best to help us but the cigarette holes in sheets, the mold in the bathroom, the wet carpet, the questionable stains on furniture along with the horrible moldy smell truly prevented us from staying longer than 10mins. We attempted to get our money back and were told the General Manager would have to issue the refund in the morning when she came in since she’s the only individual authorized to do so. Sad that we traveled over 19hrs, didn’t receive the room we had been originally assigned over the phone and had to make other sleeping arrangements just due to how filthy the place was at midnight.
*UPDATE! After leaving we went to the Residence In- Came back in the morning spoke with front desk staff who told us that the manager was not in and they couldn’t do a refund but then shortly appeared around the corner. We were issued a partial refund because the manager said that Irene said we slept in the room when we literally left within moments of entering the room. We were lied to multiple times by the staff and then the manager stated it would take her TWO HOURS to review what happened despite having our conversation with Irene recorded last night and her telling us we would receive a full refund. The manager stated she would give us a call to shoo us off and not do her job. Now we are currently waiting for her here despite having a wedding to attend to in a few hours.
*Update #2: Housekeeping manager spoke with us after waiting one hour stating that the General Manager will issue the refund and it’ll be 45days before we get our money back. We left on the sole basis that we don’t have time for the general manager to finish doing what she is doing to come attend to us and we have a wedding to attend to. Truly sad that as uniformed service members who traveled over 19hours to attend the wedding of a fellow veteran were treated poorly, were lied to and dismissed without truly coming to a resolution we were...
Read moreFilthy and run down. Smelly and musty Loud Interstate right behind. It starts right in the old worn cracked pavement in the parking lot. The front desk is missing a chuck of Formica. The elevator floor is filthy, the hall carpets are stained badly, the carpet in the stained everywhere. Red stains under the sink, Blood? The halls stunk, our room stunk. I would have left but it was late, we were tired and it was just one night. I checked the mattress for bedbugs. If looked like someone has spilled coffee on the mattress and box springs. Better motels put bedbug tight enclosures around mattresses, not here. Opened window to get some fresh air and rid of the bad smell and a busy interstate is right out back. Closing the window only drowns some of the sound. I thought Wyndham and LaQuinta were decent brand names but either they are unaware the Auburn LaQuinta is substandard or the whole chain! I rely on brand names when they need lodging. Believe me the following night I didn't consider LaQuinta or any Wyndham brand. They allow the smokers to stand right outside the entrance. There's a zillion cigarette butts littered around. Everyone knows smokers expect the world to clean up after them. I don't like doing it but I do when it happens on my property. Not this place apparently. Oh yeah, the $100 charge to your card is very weird. They say it is credited back in 3 days. Something is sketchy with that. On the plus side the front desk guy Ryan was friendly and trying hard. Breakfast was okay, very good coffee, waffles with cheapo maple flavor syrup (normal), the sausage was only luck warm and I never saw hot hard boiled eggs. In the morning the same dirt and debris was in the elevator door entrance, same with the black gunk stains on the floor of the elevator. There were 4 or five people behind the front desk. Are they too high and...
Read moreTotal dump, not worthy of 1 star. Checked into room 101, room had foul smell and stains all over carpet consistent with pets urine, there is a hole in the shower that is large enough to snake a camera through wall from adjacent room. I asked to change rooms and was (immediately without looking at computer) told there were none available. Within minutes of being in the room, started to hear disturbance from guests above me running and jumping, I went out shortly after and returned at 7 to hear the jumping and running from above louder. I went to reception and complained and they told me they have long term residents with children in this hotel but THEY HAVE QUITE HOURS AFTER 9 PM AND TO LET THEM KNOW THEN IF NOISE CONTINUES (not making this up). I told receptionist I paid for a hotel room, not an apartment and expect quite my entire stay. I demanded to be switched to another room and got the run around, I then demanded to check out and get refunded but they couldn't do that either. After making it known that I won't just accept these conditions they suddenly found a room and offered me an upgrade to suite 216. This "suite" is an "upgraded dump"; stains all over carpet, 6 large water stains in ceiling, about an hour into my stay I started to smell cigarette smoke and had to keep window open, disruptive noise of guests above running and jumping continued sporadically throughout the night, after being woken up 3 times I stayed in bed awake from 3 am on watching TV and hearing more noise. I have never experienced a worse hotel but not surprised after reading the other reviews about this hotel. They respond to positive feedback but not much to say about negative ones, obvious they could care less. Their price maybe slightly competitive but absolutely not worth it. I wouldn't take a free...
