Our dinner tonight was a big let down. If I could give it a negative 0, I would have. Honestly the only thing that was edible and not loaded with salt was the complimentary bread and butter. When we placed the order I had specifically said "no salt" on both the fries that comes with my son's steak and the cheese fries. The waitress even came back to confirm that with me. Long and behold there were so much salt on both of the fries, and they forgot bacon on our Aussie cheese fries, which was by the way $11.99 for a plate of fries with cheese. I had ordered French onion soup. I took literally a bite, I had to chugged down water to get rid of the amount of salt that was in my mouth. I had to return that back. The waitress asked if I wanted to try the loaded potato soup instead, I said I'll give it a try. I had to return that one too, the only thing loaded about it is the amount of salt in there. The waitress even acknowledged that the soups are pretty salty. Now I am left with no choice but salad, so I chose garden salad. Nothing special, just mixed salad from a bag. So at the end of the night, I still left hungry and paid well over $50 for "salt". My waitress took off the soup from my bill, which makes sense since I did not even get to eat it. I almost forgot to mention that 2 waitresses asked us a total of 3 times if we would like bread and butter and we said said yes all those 3 times, yet we were ignored for a good 15-20 minutes, while another table that clearly got there after us got their bread and food way before we did. I asked for lemon in my water, nope no lemon. We waited at least 40 minutes...most likely longer... to get our food, not acceptable at all. We ordered a cup of French onion soup, blooming burger, sirloin and fries.. Nothing complicated. At this point, unless they stop heavily salted their food, we will never return to any Outback. We should had just walked out with the amount of disappointment. This visit validated why we have not step foot in an Outback for well over 13 years. I've gotten better service and quality of food at Longhorn and...
Read moreI had a night with just my daughters, a rare find these days with busy schedules. We decided to go to Outback. We arrived at 6pm, we were greeted by friendly hostess staff, sat immediately. Our server greeted us quickly and brought us our drinks. We received our two appetizers promptly, they were very good. Then it went south…. Our server did not come to our table for another 30 minutes…. At this point we were in the booth without entrees for an hour. No communication about what was going on, I finally got a food runner and asked him to cancel our food if it had not been cooked…. Still no server folllow up. All of a sudden our salads show up by an unknown person and immediately behind the salads is our server with the check. I then said, we will take the steak dinners and stay. The manager did come over to apologize and said she took the appetizers off the bill. When our steaks finally came, my one daughter’s steak was under cooked, I gave her sisters steak to her at this point because I was just ready to leave. We got to go containers, asked for our cheesecakes (which were part of the 3 course meal) to go…. I get the check, I wait for cheesecakes…. They are never brought to the table. If I was the manager- i would have made certain that at a minimum that was delivered successfully. I paid my bill at 7:37. So one hour and thirty seven minutes not including dessert (because it never came) is unacceptable.
Now , with that said, I’ve been a hostess, I waited tables at 4 restaurants throughout college, I’ve bartended and understand well the complexities of slow kitchens and being double or triple sat, i understand feeling in the weeds. The part about this was there felt to be very little apology nor sense of urgency to fix my dining experience. I have been to this outback a number of times in the past, good experience. This one visit is enough to make me never go back.
My daughter was so bummed to not get her cheesecake she was so excited to have, after just getting her ears pierced. Disappointing end...
Read moreMy wife and I recently dined at Outback Steakhouse and had an exceptional experience, thanks to our fantastic server, Marissa. From the moment we arrived, Marissa's friendly and attentive demeanor set the tone for a wonderful evening.
She promptly brought our drinks and a warm loaf of bread shortly after we were seated. We were placed at a table adjacent to a large, lively party conversing loudly in French. Despite the noise, we were eager to enjoy our meal.
My wife ordered a salad and the Alice Springs in a sandwich, which wasn't on the menu. Marissa was incredibly accommodating and ensured my wife's request was fulfilled. I chose the steak and ribs with the new Brussels sprouts, and the meal was absolutely delicious.
As we enjoyed our dinner, the noise from the adjacent party grew louder and more distracting. Noticing my wife's discomfort, I considered mentioning it to Marissa. When she checked on us, we alluded to the noise issue, and she graciously offered to move us to another table. We gladly accepted and were relocated to a quieter spot, which allowed us to fully enjoy the rest of our meal.
We declined dessert but left with full hearts and stomachs, thanks to Marissa's exceptional service. Her attentiveness and willingness to go above and beyond made our dining experience truly memorable. We expressed our deep gratitude to Marissa and left feeling incredibly satisfied.
Outback Steakhouse, with servers like Marissa, certainly exceeded our expectations, and we look forward to returning for another...
