Village Wok Restaurant — Restaurant in Auburn

From order to pick up, this was the worst Chinese food I have had in Auburn. I ordered dumplings, eggs roles, and General Tso's chicken (though I never received the egg rolls). My order was wrong when I arrived to pick up, although I called twice to make sure it was correct. While I waited for my food to be finished, I noticed that the dumplings I ordered came from a store bought bag in the freezer. Though I called in my food 45 minutes before the restaurant closed, I felt as if the staff was irritated by my order. If I knew I was purchasing store bought dumplings and fried rice mix, I would have just gone to the store and prepared it myself. Sorry this was Chinese I wish did not eat. The crackers tasted stale, the egg drop soup was dark, and honestly had a smell and taste of something other than food. Moving on to the entree, my rice again had the smell and taste -- maybe they cooked the food in something that was bad. My wife had shrimp fried rice that was overloaded with teriyaki and onion. Sadly the local Mall foodcourt has much better food. The server told us she had been there for 18 years, very nice lady. So I debated about leaving a poor review. The first time I ate there the food was good, so we decided to try again. The second time the food was terrible, their beef smelled like fish, their sweet and sour chicken was horrible, and so was their rice. I returned the broccoli and beef and lady tried to give me something else, at this point it was not about money more than wanted to let them know how bad their food was. We ate some of the rice and later my daughter wanted more and while serving her we found a bug. Needless to say we will no longer go there. Tried to call but they had my phone number and would not...
