Was truly looking for some great tasting Jamaican cuisine on my 1st visit to Jamaica Hut. However, this was likely my last visit as well. The food was underwhelming at best. Tonight jerk chicken was calling my taste buds so I made an order online. I arrived a bit earlier at the restaurant than the scheduled pick up time. The parking lot was dimly lit but accommodating for steady business. The dining area was small but ideal for waiting for to go orders. At the time of my visit the lobby was holding 7 customers staged at various areas & tables of the restaurant. One table held a family enjoying their meal. The other patrons such as myself were awaiting pick up orders. 2 of them identified themselves as food delivery people. My wait was a good 20 minutes longer than the given wait time. Although my order was to be completed by 718p it was not given to me until 736p. My wait time in the restaurant was from 711p to 736p. Total time from order to pick up was 1 hour. The meal itself was gracious in portion size but amazingly lacking in flavor. I ordered spicy jerk chicken, cabbage with beans & rice. The food was missing everything you want in Jamaican food. No flavor. No spice. No heat. No soul. The chicken was cooked decently but had zero kick. It was surprisingly bland & boring in every bite. The sauce had the same effect. It was puzzling. The usual suspects of salt, pepper, onion, garlic, cumin, allspice, scotch bonnet, and paprika were all missing from this recipe. Brown sugar made an appearance but could have played the background. The food was cooked well it just had no ambition of soul. Quite an unfortunate night for a forgettable meal. Sadly this trip to Jamaica Way...

Ok so the reason for my my 1 rating first time ordering here I ordered through Uber eats for pick up when I there which was 45 after the order was suppose to be ready and showed ready on Uber eats it was not ready. Not to mention I had to wait 25 more minutes for the order after being ignored in the line for 15 minutes then on top of that she asked what I ordered i prepaid and they didn’t have all my items no refund of the items or nothing next time I ordered once again I get here order not ready and it showed ready again had to stand in line for 20 min again and then was asked what my order was again mind you this order was simple 2 beef patties and beans and rice and the beans and rice was so Bad but the beef patties was great next last and final time I will ever go here again I ordered again through Uber eats 1:10 pm food is estimated to be ready at 1:59 pm I call right after I place the order spoke with a very kind young lady and made them aware I place a order through Uber eats and i would like to know would it be ready at that time or should I wait she said we just confirmed your order it will be Ready at that time so I gave a extra 5 to 8 minutes before arrival after pick up time get there in greeted her let her know I was there for the order belonging to me with my name she went to the back and came out and said we don’t have the order so I explained it was through Uber eats why my food was not ready and I had to tell her my order again and wait waiting out at 2:27...

I ordered from this place twice because it’s close to me. The first time I ordered I waited over an hour for the food and when it got to me the chicken was cold on the inside, and I mean cold cold like they had it in the refrigerator and put it in the microwave for a few minutes and sent it out. For whatever reason, I decided to order from here again this time I figured I would order for pick up and go get it myself so that it didn’t take that long. I ordered online it said it will be done in 35 minutes. I waited 40 minutes went down to go get the food when I got there They let me know that the food wasn’t done and I had to wait another 20/25 minutes. When I got home two minutes later, I opened the food to eat it. It was good portions. It was actually a lot of food but again the food was not hot. This time. The food was warm, mind you I just picked it up. The food wasn’t fresh. It was almost as if they pre-made the food the day before or two days before and they just kept reheating it and selling it, that’s how the food tasted. My husband even got sick after eating the food that day. I’m disappointed with the Caribbean restaurants here. Since I moved to Ga from Miami it’s been so hard to find good food. I hope this place start to value quality. If you can not handle online orders, third party orders and walk-in orders maybe just focus on walk-in until you can get a better system. Hope this is taken into...

Arrived just before lunch was over. I had to yell "hello" for someone to come to the window. It was four men in the back, not sure why anyone wasn't in the front to take orders right away. The food here is decent, literally. Coming from NYC and eating jamacian food all my life, I know what it's suppose to taste like and this was not it. The whole entire meal felt like it was missing the ingredients to everything, it was flavourful but I can't put my finger on it as to what it was missing. The Mac and cheese was pretty good. The beef patty was alright, the bread was amazing but it was barely any meat in the patty like they almost had to portion out the cow itself. The curry chicken was decent, again seem like it lacked something. The rice and peas literally tasted like rice and peas, completely lacking flavor, the sauce saved it and they gave JUST enough rice. The price for the lunch special I would say is fare because they gave me lots of chicken. All in all, the food is okay but not worth returning.

Decided to try this place out. Dont blink becuase you can miss this spot. The food was better than expected however the portion was smaller than expected. Unfortunately like most typical Jamaican places, the service was slow. Prices were above average when compared to the portions. The decor was very plain. I was sure I was in the right place except for the sign outside. There was no menu posted or chalk board with specials. In fact, during the day this is a Jamaican restuarant and at night, it could be a pirate ship. No bathrooms. Parking is ample. The food is decent and portions are good if you are on a diet. I will most likely return as thr food was good.
