New Chan Express Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Augusta

I almost feel bad for writing a bad review because the staff was so friendly but I just have to. I ordered a large kung pao chicken with fried rice, chicken lo mein, and crab rangoons. Everything was terrible. Yes, the portions were big, but man was it nasty. The kung pao chicken had no nuts in it … which is a main ingredient in it. It had corn? Super weird. I had to call them to make sure they gave me the right order. Also, not spicy at all, which is again, a main component. The fried rice and lo mein had the weirdest flavor. I can’t even put my finger on it but it wasn’t right at all. The crab rangoons were not crab rangoons, they were cream cheese wontons. And they were just that, cream cheese in a wonton. Not a drop of seasoning. I’m honestly hoping we don’t all get food poisoning because it just tasted so off. This Chinese restaurant I love them they are so good to my mom they cater to her they are super sweet they always make her food just the way she likes it might as well my Mom normally brings her own silverware but when she doesn't they give her a metal spoon and scissors so that she can be convenient for her meal maymay and her husband are such sweet people very catering to all customers food is always hot and good in the beginning I was not really a Chinese food person there is a couple dishes now that I love from there like I get the fried rice with just broccoli and sweet and sour chicken well done with no sauce it is my favorite it is so good and I'm so grateful for new Chang Express. I don’t recommend This place it’s a hit or miss(mostly miss) & this is coming from someone who’s been coming here for years. The chicken wings don’t taste the same (before they switched owners) at all and they’re super small, as y’all can see it’s Smaller than the sauce packet! The orange chicken had a weird texture & the shrimp fried rice was so OILY and it had pieces of plastic in it. They don’t make it right or allow you to get a refund, the woman has a bad attitude and the owner is very cheap to the point that he’s cutting corners on the food quality. Definitely Our last time...
