Harveys Supermarkets — Local services in Augusta

This grocery chain was sold to Bi-lo and was turned from a Bi-lo to what it is now, a Harvey's Supermarket. They opened at the end of the year of 2016. There was tons of buzz about this place because they have great prices on some things that cost much more around town. For instance, I picked up two packs of bone-in, thick cut pork chops for a little over $3. It was about 7 in each pack. You couldn't beat that price with a stick!!! There were tons of other deals around the store but, that was just an example of how this store was needed for the budget conscious consumer like myself!!!! They also have a $1 aisle were there are all types of things that are $1 each. I've heard some of my friends already say they will never shop anywhere else for groceries again. I'm not going to say that because I can find deals almost anywhere I shop. This store also redeem and reward you with the Plenti rewards program. I was already a member of that program so I didn't have to sign up, but if you're not it's a breeze to do so. This place is definitely one to check out and see what kind of amazing deals you can find...

Since it's change from BILO, we don't shop as much and the types of groceries have changed also. This particular day we needed some last minute holiday grilling food. We got verything except Ground Chuck. There wasn't any ground meat left. I understand the holidays will consume a good bit of any sale, but no meat is a bit much. Even if they address how much is put out over intervals of time. Anything but sell it all, all at once and once it's gone it's gone. I would have accepted beef if they had it. No worries though. The cut vegetable tray was beautiful and the fruits as well. PLUS, I found out, on the $1 isle, they have Vanilla Extract!!! Yes it's off brand and the vanilla isn't as strong, but, yours truly doesn't care for a strong vanilla scent or taste, so it's perfect. Plus I can always add McCormick for some extra punch. For anyone that's confused by my excitement, Vanilla is like honey. Very hard to find cheap. (BTW, our Dollar Tree doesn't carry either). Harvey's has been great for those in...

I honestly don't care what everybody else says on here because my experience with the deli was absolutely horrible, and this doesn't make any sense. There is an older lady who works in the Gordon Highway Deli that was very rude to me and my mother this morning. We simply asked the price for a plate of food. We didn't even get to get the plate of food.We just asked a question about it and was greeted with hostility and rudeness. Not only that , the lady gave us her back while she was rolling her eyes so hard I could see her eyes rolling from the back of her head. I would never shop here again ever. We were not in ANYWAY rude with this woman. I really hope management does something about it because...
