I’ve been in the coffee industry for nearly a decade and manage a specialty coffee shop myself, so I hold high standards for quality and hospitality. I visited Relic a few times when they first opened, but returning recently, I was blown away by how much they’ve refined and established themselves as a standout. The cortado, cappuccino, and sandwich I had during my two visits were all exceptional. The espresso was perfectly balanced, showcasing the care and craft. The GM is an absolute gem—sweet, kind, and genuinely focused on creating a welcoming experience. Her emphasis on hospitality shines through, setting the tone for the entire shop. The only feedback I have is that their house-made almond milk could benefit from a bit more filtering, as I’ve encountered a few nut chunks. But that’s a small critique in an otherwise fantastic experience!!

Amazing coffee, bread, service and atmosphere! Staff is welcoming and friendly and allows a personal experience for each guest. All of the recipes for the milks, bread, mayo, and syrups are all made in house! I highly recommend Relic for anyone. Everything in this coffee shop is authentic and unique and features Ecuadorian culture in everything they sell. Pizza noches is also a great option for dining in. Each pizza comes with a complementary salad and a board of salsas that includes: house-made chimichurri, oregano, and red pepper seasoning. Relic is a small family owned business, but I hope to spread the word about their preeminent services and coffee to everyone! This is the best coffee shop in Augusta, truly.

I've driven by many times and finally had a chance to stop in recently. I tried a crafted espresso drink called Ambato. While I typically stick to my usual order, I wanted to try something new. The strawberry flavor was a bit too strong for my personal preference, but I might have enjoyed it more if it had been more subtle. Regardless, I'm giving five stars because the customer service was exceptional. I was greeted warmly upon entering, and the entire staff was incredibly inviting and friendly, even when they were busy. The sign alone bumps this rating up! I will definitely return and try a standard coffee and something from the food menu.

My wife and I had a terrible experience at this coffee shop this morning. The owner was incredibly rude. To start, we have visited this coffee shop with our dog multiple times. However, this morning the owner seemed to have a problem.

We decided to go get a morning coffee. We walked there with our puppy and arrived shortly after them opening. Bear in mind, the temperature outside was in the low 40s. Once we arrived, my wife went inside to get a menu, and she handed me one while I waited outside with our dog in the cold. After looking over the menu, I wanted to see what the food options were this morning, so I hooked our dog briefly to their bench on their patio to step inside out of the cold, see the food options, and place a quick order. Bear in mind, we are the only two customers in this coffee shop at the time. The owner then rudely proceeded to tell me and my wife that we couldn't leave our dog unattended even though we were placing a short order, it was low 40s outside, we had been there multiple times, and they had a large window that we could see our dog in the 2 minutes it would take to place an order. He said that he didn't want other customers to be scared of the dog. I responded that we were just wanting to place a quick order and we would happily go back outside to grab our dog and enjoy our coffees outside. He responded even more rude this time that we absolutely couldn't leave our dog unattended to place the order and we had to go back out to grab our dog. After the rude response and way we were treated, my wife and I left to take our business elsewhere.

Do not waste your time or money visiting this coffee shop. The owner decided to drive the business away of the only 2 customers in the coffee shop at that time. Also, he was incredibly rude doing it. We simply wanted to place a quick order out of the cold. If you claim to be dog friendly but we can't bring our dog inside and can't leave our dog outside to order, how in the world are we supposed to order and how are you supposedly dog friendly? Your business didn't even offer to come take our orders outside if the dog being left unattended was that big of a deal. You have now lost two loyal customers and assuredly will lose many more customers for your lack of customer service and rudeness. It would be one thing if your service or coffee or food justified the rudeness and exorbitant prices; however, the food is poor, the coffee is overpriced, and your attitude toward customers seems on par with a poorly run fast food business. We will ensure those in this area do not give your coffee...

I came with my husband and I this morning to order a coffee, and was immediately taken back by the lack of hospitality and passive aggressive nature of the servers. To start, they have an huge sign in the front that says “Yall are all welcome but you gotta act right.” Which is rude, unprofessional and not welcoming. Every single table had a reserved sign, and when I was approached by the waiter I asked about this. She was murmuring, and I am a military service member who struggles with hearing, all I heard was the end of her sentence was mentioning there was seating outside. It was a cold morning, so I asked “are we allowed to sit in here?” She stared at me with a very straight face showing an attitude with a long silence, and then asked “are you dining in” to which I said yes and she just said “ok” and continued to just stare at me after I said yes and chose my seat. She did not move at all, didn’t remove the reserved sign or invite me to sit, or even smile once. I then sat down and looked at the menu. We quickly decided on what we wanted and placed the menus at the edge of the table, and we were not checked up on once. We went to tell her our order, and received a bitter coffee for $8. We were lectured about not being able to use laptops because she saw I had my military issued backpack, while we did not have a laptop. The coffee was extremely bitter so I added milk using a carton that was in my bag to wash it down. They sent two people individually to lecture me about inside food back to back. Starbucks and McDonald’s have better quality and hospitality toward their guests. Don’t waste your time, these people think...

So I went on a Saturday for the pizza. The service was amazing. I will honestly go back for the service alone. It just has a very good atmosphere and all of the people carry very good energy.

If I did had to complain about something, it would be my drink. Not that my drink was bad. But you should not call a drink a martini if it doesn’t have alcohol. I knew they didn’t serve alcohol, but that just threw me for a loop. So I had to question it and order it anyways. The drink was not bad, just a little different.

The pizza, I enjoyed it. It wasn’t the best, but it was far from the worst. I do feel like they were a little stingy with the toppings. Oh yeah, in the pizza is not a good value considering. I want to say it was $25 in it was shareable but barely. I can’t remember the last square pizza I had in Atlanta, but I want to say it was similarly priced but the portion was much better and it was much better pizza. But it is something to do that’s different. That’s a vibe and there was great energy in there. I enjoy every single person that was on staff. Even when I went to use the restroom, you can see the kitchen open. All the guys back there were smiling and waving, and they seem to really enjoy their job and I enjoy being in those type of spaces.

And honestly, it was my first time going and like I say it wasn’t terrible. Maybe the pizza gets better or maybe the thin pizza is the one for me. So I’ll revisit but for sure it’s a strong floor and if the pizza hit harder next time then it’s like a...
