I'll start by saying the pizza we got was very good. It makes it such a shame that the customer service we got was so poor. My wife called to place the order and it seemed like they had a hard time understanding her which I don't really criticize because it can be hard over the phone to take an order.
All we ordered was a large pizza with jalapenos and pineapple on half with pepperoni and bacon on the other, with onions on the whole. Nothing that a typical pizza place would have issues with. I guess this place isn't typical when it comes to pizza orders.
When I arrived, I found that it was apparently an issue to order this pizza and it wasn't just an issue with the phone communication. I go to the counter and say I'm there for the pickup order and she immediately says, "oh? the super complicated order?" I didn't know what to say there so I just said "I guess."
As she finished the payment, she continued to say "this was the most complicated order that I've had to make." Which, once again, I didn't know how to respond to so I just smiled and laughed. I took the pizza and just left because what am I supposed to say there? I wish I had gotten her name because it was just a horrible situation to put a customer in.
I do not plan on ever going back there despite the quality of the food. I don't think a company should ever make a customer feel like they are a burden. If you are just getting a quick pepperoni pizza, try theirs but if you are getting something that is more complicated than that, I suggest Charlie Fox's in Batavia or anything else than Santis...
Read moreWe went to try out the pizza to see if it was really good but when we got there the whole place was so quiet and awkward we were worried it was about to close. The lady at the cash register seemed a bit out of it because we asked her 5 times for a medium cheese pizza that we thought she didn't speak a single word in Spanish until we spoke English. She seemed to be a bit annoyed that we ordered and didn't even bother if we wanted thin or normal crust. We decided to wait inside due to the rain and the only seating was an old plastic bench that looks like it was made for a child rather than two adults. While we waited we saw that there was no entertainment like a TV or music to keep us there besides ourselves, even though the lady had a speak right on the counter. After 10 minutes, we finally got our pizza and the lady just looked so bothered to give us what we paid for, even if she chose what kind of crust we wanted. As soon as we got home and ate the pizza, it had a funny taste to it where we had to take off the cheese to just be able to eat it. After 5 minutes after eating three little slices of thin pizza, our stomach started to hurt to the point that we just threw it away. Unless you have nowhere else to go to get pizza, don't...
Read moreSantis Pizza might be new on the block but their Chicago Style Deep Dish pizza can really compete with the best and leave the common chains pizza joints in the dust. Tonight I tried their Hawaiian Chicago Style Deep Dish and was amazed at the great crust and the quality of ingredients. I was also very surprised at how fast they make a pizza. Their large size pizza is huge and I would recommend it for a family of 5-6 as each slice is the size of a dinner plate! I look forward to sharing their pizza with friends and family time and time again. With such great crust on their Deep Dish I cant wait to try their thin crust pizza it must be crust heaven. Don’t let the ovens cool down Santis Pizza,...
