I'm writing this review as a result of the Aurora Christkindlmarkt. I had the Smoked Cheese Austrian Bratwurst. It was actually very delicious!
HOWEVER, I have 2 issues:
The f$&@ing price was $15 a sausage! Like come on!! I get that being a vendor there is probably expensive (I actually don't know). But that's no more than an $8 sausage and you know it.
Credit card fees are called "THE COST OF DOING BUSINESS". Yes, they are expensive. So is being a business in the first place. Price your sh&$ accordingly. It's a f$&@ing convenience for YOU not to have to accept cash. So don't charge me for it. Don't want to pay for credit card fees? Don't bother selling anything! Society will NEVER move to being cashless, but I have no worry in the world if my credit card gets stolen. If my wallet gets stolen, I'm out every dollar of cash that was in there. So when I'm in a crowd, I only carry plastic.
Otherwise, this place is OKAY. I wouldn't think of stopping in because I don't feel like being screwed on price. It's sad, because I love meat shops too! Huge fan of trying any cut of beef I can in...
Read moreWe have been going to Wurst Kitchen for over 30 years. The brats are truly the best around. The real treat is on Saturdays they cook them up for you on the side of the building. We have had the brats, beef sticks, lunch meats and their frozen selections. Last week we were introduced to something new, Liver Dumplings soup by Wolf, the owners son. We have had liver dumplings soup many times in the past, but this German version was honestly the very best we have had .The liver dumpling is the real deal. The meat is authentic and very fresh and the flavor of the broth is rich and complex adding a well rounded delightful taste to the dish. This I believe was their first attempt in making this dish but I hope it will not be their last. They sell it in their frozen section so look for it. And I might add the liver dumpling in which you get two of them in the serving portion is as big as a fist! Thanks Wolf for suggesting this new...
Read moreAlthough the one guy who is there is super sweet very patient with us. I've ordered twice before this last time. HE was a young guy so patient and pleasant. Today a older male tried to help out but cause confusion and disrespect. Not only was he using foul language he was very rude. Told us to move and hush as if he was talking to one of his kids. I bought other patrons to this establishment we were purchasing 11 meals. I rave so much about the place they wanted to try themselves. It was utterly ridiculous and embarrassing. I would not be writing this if the high conflict guy would a patient let the other guy work in peace. Needless to say he lost my business as well as others and thats sad. One bad day can ruin others. For the young guy I saw your eyes. You keep being a sweet person. To the older guy you need to take some lessons from him. Your attitude was beyond embarrassing. ...
