Editing my original review, place an order on Grubhub today. Food arrived on time and was was still hot. I ordered a BLT+E+A and my girlfriend ordered Cali Eggs Benedict. When I opened my food, the BLT+E+A it literally had a piece and a half of bacon on it. Keep in mind this sandwhich cost me $16.50 with tax and I have never had a BLT with a piece and a half of bacon on it.
I am not sure what is going on with business lately, they are charging more money for food but providing less, and customer service is lacking. So I called Syrup and spoke to Dave one of the Supervisors and I told him my situation. I have called to complain to Grubgub about other Resturants providing similar situation and how grubhub would not refund my money due to resturants forgetting items or messing up my orders. Not sure why I am being ding by Grubhub for this but that is how they roll. So I explained this to Dave the Supervisor and he said he understood and provide me with a $16.50 credit voucher for next time I ordered food. I hung up the phone.
I get a call back from Dave, he left a message cause I didn't answer so I called back. Dave said he was sorry but he spoke to GM who told him to advise me they can't provide credit cause it was through Grubhub. I told him i explained that to him initially and he said he would provide a credit anyways on the first call but now is telling me he can't provide the credit. I told him he said he should honor the credit cause he already told me that he would. Dave says well people make mistakes.
He is 100% correct. Syrup made two mistakes. One they messed up my food and the cook that made it is not going to deal with repercussion of this transaction he or she will keep messing up orders cause we don't live in a service economy anymore. Resturnats think THEY are alway right and screw the customer!
In closing Dave handled this interaction correctly the first time but then was told by GM tell the customer to call Grubhub and they can't honor credit is where they went wrong. We'll now im out the money cause Grub may or may not honor it. Dave also hung up on me because my voice was raised and i was frustrated at the situation but todays managers and Supervisors can't handle constructive criticism and they hangup cause we live in overly sensitive world. I called back and they hung up again.
I would say Syrup has good food but if you have an issue outside of there establishment your screwed. Probably won't be back to Syrup due to this...
Read moreHey Everyone, I had an opportunity to get out and try this great place for breakfast. My husband tried a lunch dish which was the Ream burger with the meat from their local meat market consisting of beef brisket and ground meat mixed together where even after being cooked (which was cooked well done perfectly) the size of the meat still kept its full patty handmade form! It’s called the Reams burger which I highly recommend it soul heartedly! He was sharing with me how it was one of the best burgers he has had since he was in Mississippi! He also stated “I haven’t had a good cheese burger that tasted so good in a long time” Now, I wanted breakfast but instead of getting corned beef hash like I have been getting a few times here lately, I decided to get something totally different and I got the 5 egg omelette Mediterranean which consisted of Kalamata olives, red onions sliced, sautéed spinach, basil, feta cheeseand tomatoes with parmigiana where it was seasoned so well it raised my eyebrows brows and didn’t even grab the salt shaker. This place can be a dive to endure some wonderfulness for your taste buds and it is not a greasy feel diner but a clean and crisp feel in the atmosphere. As I was walking to the restroom I just had to ask if I could take two more added pictures of some delightful looking dishes and I want to thank them again for allowing me to do so! The service was great and I wish I could’ve high fives the cook because everything I saw looked so good as I was walking through this place! I was amazed to see their skillet dish which was served in a cast iron skillet! Not to mention, after you get done eating, it’s only 5 miles away from the Outlet Mall too, so, after you eat, you can walk/shop the calories off! I would definitely love to come back here in the future to try a lunch dish from their menu, so, to...
Read moreThis was quite honestly one of the best breakfasts I've ever had. The Billion Dollar Bacon was phenomenal - it was drenched in this smoky, sweet sauce and was cooked perfectly. The waffles were so soft and doughy that I cut through them with a fork super easily. There's a huge drink menu with tons of customization options and flavor add-ins. It was a bit overwhelming seeing the big menu at first, but I definitely don't think they sacrificed quality for quantity here. I got the Chicken Fried Chicken (small plate), and I didn't even come close to finishing it. The chicken could have been a bit more crispy, but it was juicy. The fried potatoes were really good, too.
The atmosphere was comforting and bright, with more of a "hip" decor style (lots of succulents everywhere!).
Our server was super sweet, personable, and attentive. She answered the questions we had about the menu and didn't make us feel bad for asking. There was almost no wait at any point during our visit here.
The price is definitely on the higher end, but it's worth what we paid in my opinion.
I immediately recommended this place to some of my family and friends after leaving. I just wish we didn't live nearly 2 hours away, otherwise I'd be here...
