La Michoacana 5 Stars — Restaurant in Aurora Township

This place only has 7 chairs (3 at the counter and 2 at 2 small tables each). The ice cream is not nearly as good or as many varieties as I have had at other Michocanas. I had a bad experience on top of all of this. I asked for the smallest kids ice creams they had for my three children. My mom ordered a single scoop. Then I went up to pay. I told her what I had ordered. Then the woman who had served us came up and said something to her in Spanish and she rang me up. I gave her my credit card, added a tip and signed. Once I got my receipt, I realized that I had been charged for 4 adult scoops. When I went up to dispute the charge, she said that the woman had told her that she didn't hear me or that I didn't order correctly and she gave me adult single scoops, so that's what she charged me. Why not say something to me before charging my credit card? It seems shady!! Anyway, the kicker is that my friend's kids ordered (and were charged for kids' scoops) and they both got more ice cream than any of my adult ice creams. I recently visited La Michoacana 5 Star under the new ownership, and I was beyond impressed! The customer service was excellent—friendly, welcoming, and attentive. We tried the dorilocos, and they were absolutely delicious, packed with flavor and the perfect crunch. We also couldn’t resist their chocolate-covered strawberries, and they did not disappoint—fresh, rich, and perfectly coated.

Absolutely the nicest, cleanest, and best food out of the many la michoacanas I have been to! Not only do they have a huge selection of ice cream, they have homemade Popsicles, food, smoothies and more! I work a couple doors down and it's always the perfect snack when I'm feeling my sweet tooth. Definitely worth a stop just for the awesome environment and people working there! 10 outta 10, will probably be in soon to grab the best vanilla ice cream...
