The first time we came here was on opening day, which had apparently been pushed a week without any updates on their social media or website. At least they were there to tell us when the new opening day would be. Next visit was on their new opening day... and they were still closed. Great first impressions, but sometimes launches are just unpredictable so we still made a plan to visit some other time.
Next time we went, it was finally open! But we had to wait an hour for a ramen bowl and some other dish I can't remember (maybe a katsu plate?). The food was alright, but the restaurant was clearly going through some opening pains so we thought it would be better next time...
We came back another time and I got the curry ramen, but it was gritty like an amateur had made it. The korokke was also served with ketchup instead of the traditional sauce, which seems odd and lazy. We gave it one more final try, but I got overcooked chashu. Also, the soy sauce eggs were really just basic soft-boiled eggs with a slight brown tint and none of the typical flavor one would expect. It seems the quality is going downhill but at least the food comes out faster?
There are much better ramen places in the Denver/DTC area that I would rather make...

The balance of the crispy fried tempura and the slightly sweet, light broth was incredible. They also updated their bowls and cutlery- very chic! I went here with my cousins today, and we ordered the Japanese fried chicken appetizer, the Diablo ramen, Curry Ramen, and Udon with tempura. All of the food was exceptional! I highly recommend the fried chicken- it was juicy, hot, and fresh. Perfect to keep us sated until our meals came, which were generously portioned. I personally ordered the udon and was very pleased with the springiness of the noodles and slight sweetness of the broth. The tempura was crispy for a long time and battered very evenly. For the price point, I was very satisfied with the quality of the food. The boba afterward was a tasty...
Read moreThe food is always delicious. Service is in need of improvement. Our server seemed to be very distracted on a phone call throughout our meal and more focused on getting the restaurant ready to close than the customers, despite the restaurant not closing for another hour. The service created an unwelcoming environment in my experience and turned other potential customers away.
I want to bring this to management's attention as I enjoy the food and normally enjoy my time but I worry that this unfriendly service is turning away customers from enjoying the food and comfort I have had previously. Typically, the atmosphere is lively with great food, friendly servers, and my favorite animes playing. This time however, seemed very down and seemed like they were trying to avoid people. I hope fuyu ramen stays around for years to come but change in...
