Three little griddles review Hole in the wall restaurants like three little griddles, have the best food. Breakfast isn't everyone's flavor, but this food will make your day. Never will you find a better collection of foods and services. It may seem underwhelming and small when walking up to the door however an amazing staff and decor will take your breath away.
You walk into a small restaurant and are met with a cheerful staff. They are friendly, polite, and chill about reservations. The host/ess uses a texting system so you don't need to worry about a buzzer or someone calling on you. I do wish the severs would spend more time at each table. There waiters are fast and get your orders in immediately and bring fresh jugs of water to you in a timely manner. Remember to tip your server after the good meal. Wait times will vary greatly depending on day and time, average wait time is forty-five minutes. The restaurant lacks a waiting area making it difficult on weekends when the place is packed.
The food is breakfast and there's a few amazing options. I tried Eggs binidict, it's the best place for this dish. The eggs where firm on the outside but filled with a golden runny yoke. English muffins are fresh made and warm. They also have specials menu containing things like bananas foster pancakes. I ordered lunch my next visit and obtained a mildly good ruban. Fresh and hot as always toasted rye bread and corned beef piled high. The Toasted bun couldn't hold the amount of dressing on it and it soon went soggy. I really suggest going with the breakfast items they’re really good and portions are huge. A breakfast burrito is fairly large and filled to the brim with yummy options. The price is reasonable, and most items will be in the thirteen dollar range. Considering all the possibilities this price is fair and delivers that satisfying taste you want.
The atmosphere despite feeling slightly cramped still has a pleasant feeling. Maple syrup and the scent of fresh baked goods breathe through the building. The seating is so close you could have a conversation with the person next to you. Its not hard to find something you like on there menu its organized and easy to find that one dish you just have to try. Table settings are very breakfast casual basic silverware and cloth napkins. They have a bar area but I being underage have not sat there. Sound is another problem, as the building is so small everyone talking over each other creates a very loud atmosphere. They have a small bench right by the front door for waiting, but it is about three feet to the table in front of you. But what they have achieved in the size of the building is impressive. This would definitely be the place I would bring friends.
Three little griddles always impresses me every time I walk into the door. If breakfast food is your thing, I highly recommend eating here. I would rate this place a good four and a half stars based on the food being fair price compared to portion and taste. Waiters are fast and easy going. The part I really don't like about this place and why I dropped my rating was the actual size of the building. I hate being squished while im eating, But I will return again to have another item off that menu any day. Unfortunately they close right after lunch is over so get in...
Read moreWent in with high hopes but this place really misses the mark. Ordered a cinnamon bun and coffee first, bun was pretty good, coffee was Luke warm. Chose the “frittata” and the simple breakfast, both of which came out almost immediately when the whole place was packed. Never a good sign. Eggs: undercooked and watery Bacon: undercooked and rubbery Toast: barely warm Potatoes: tasted boiled, cooked just long enough to be served but not to be enjoyed. Pancake: almost right on the money but the center was still uncooked The frittata was just a mess of ingredients poorly spread and also undercooked. The cheese was as cheap as you can find, sprinkled cold on the top. The pepperoni was cheap bag slices and was in a stack in the middle. After a generous addition of salt pepper and hot sauce it was barely passable. When the waitress returned to take the plates, she noticed one meal had barely been touched, asked if we weren’t hungry, or if something was wrong. Told her it really just wasn’t very good and undercooked, but said not to worry about it. She said she’d ask the manager to take it off, which is usually The next step in that circumstance. She returns with a $45 tab and said the manager will not be taking anything off, and had sort of an odd look on her face like she couldn’t believe it either. Recommendation for the restaurant : slow down take your time cook things properly. These meals are clearly not cooked order. I have a feeling there are bins of eggs and bacon sitting there ready to be served up much like you would find in a Hampton inn. Recommendation to the patrons: go...
Read moreThis place was very delicious and the portion sizes were pretty big.
I was recently here around 8am for breakfast on a Sunday and really, for how crowded it was, we didn't have to wait long at all.
Our waitress was super patient with us as we looked over the menu. And she let us know some good recommendations. The one downer to this location that we didn’t know in advance was that they did not serve alcohol. So if you are looking for a mimosa - visit their DTC location.
We started with Dad’s Cinnamon Roll with cream cheese frosting. The inside of the cinnamon roll was chewy and warm and filled with cinnamon and icing. The outside was ehhh - a little crispy for me, but for sure recommend this to start if you have a sweet tooth (very sweet).
The food came out within 5 or so minutes of our cinnamon roll. We ordered the Breakfast Burrito with Scrambled Eggs, Potatoes, Cheese & Sausage smothered with pork green chili which was so good. The pork green chili was on point for sure. We also ordered the Elvis Toast. This classic toast smothered in peanut butter & topped with bacon & banana & drizzled with honey is like the perfect breakfast choice for the person who can’t decide between sweet and salty.
The location is small but they do have a few chairs outside for waiting for a table if needed. Overall, it was a good meal and the staff was...
