Exquisite. Truly surprising and wonderful. Wow.
As newcomers to this shared dining hall, we weren't sure which restaurant we wanted to try first. When perusing the different menus, we were greeted with a warm smile, literally open arms and a confident "Welcome!"
Such a delicious dish never had such a pedestrian name: "Boiled Lamb" blew our damn minds. The meat was deeply flavorful and tender, lightly seasoned and fragrant. Served with a pinch of greens over a generous bed of rice--- the boiled lamb was to me the perfect execution of an elegant and approachable meal. We felt so comforted and satisfied.
Our pretty plate of fūl was briney, tangy, savory, and herbaceous. Just loved it.
For dessert, we enjoyed a Muhallabia. Consistent with everything else, it was delicious. Still thinking about it.
During the meal, the man who served us came around to ask how we were doing. I risk overstating how warm, attentive and sincere this person to us seemed.
My chef husband said this was the best meal we've had in Colorado. I agree.
The dining atmosphere in Mango House is homey and welcoming. Leather chairs and potted plants bathed in natural light give the place a spacious yet cozy feel--- a bit like eating over at your Auntie's house.

Read moreI cane here around lunchtime this past Tuesday with a group of about 15, 16 people. Most of us ordered from Jasmine, and we ordered all sorts of things + hsd to push together a bunch of tables to fit our group. And let me tell you, the owner (I didn't get his name, sadly) was INCREDIBLE! He put on a master class in hospitality and service. The number of questions I alone had was a lot, and he answered with kindness and patience each time. A smile and a laugh never left his face.
AND THE FOOD!! Oh my gosh, that was some of the best hummus I've ever had & the Syrian cheese pizza is AWESOME. Get both when you go there. Also, the Syrian coffee was super neat, and I've never had anything like it.
We had the food brought to us, and we're told we didn't need to worry about moving the tables back where they were. Truly, one of the best food experiences I've had in Denver. Do yourself a favor and go here, 5 stars isn't enough for...
Read moreWow. Super impressed. Ordered food through grub hub and the order was correct even down to special requests which is pretty rare these days. Besides that the food was so authentic and delicious. We ordered the vegetarian combo, a gyro, appetizer hummus, and appetizer baba ghanoush. Everything was spot on. Best baba ghanoush I can find since my Arab market that made it fresh stopped making it. Veggie combo came with stuffed grape leaves, side hummus with tahini, falafels, yellow rice ( don't usually eat all of my ride but it was so good), super fresh fattoush with crispy pitas on top, and plenty of pitas that weren't dried out on the side. Don't forget to ask for some hot sauce!! Also the story off the family that I found on the takeout menu is really touching. Help support this small business so I can keep eating delicious baba ghanoush...
