Vintage Theatre — Attraction in Aurora

Vintage Theatre is an Aurora treasure. It may be small in structure, but they put on big productions. And the productions are of great quality. I like that they mount popular plays and musicals, as well as shows that are not as well-known. It is also a good place to go to watch a cabaret. Like a typical theater, the drinks are not cheap. However, it is cute how they structure and name their cocktails after songs or aspects of a current show. For instance, Spamalot is one of the current productions and there is a cocktail called "The Drink That Tastes Like This." So named after a fun popular song in the show. We just saw In the Heights, with some friends. We could not believe what a fine production this was. We are not generally musical lovers, but this was exceptional. Small theatre, small stage, dynamite talent. We thought the acting was excellent; the leads knew how to control their volume so that the story came through and they weren't just showing the audience what great singers they were. Vintage Theatre is a real Colorado gem. It's relatively small, but they produce some of the best theatrical productions in the Denver area.
