Pitchers is more than just a sports bar - I remember the night I first entered Pitchers four years ago. I had just moved to Aurora, Colorado. I immediately discovered a bar that reflects the Aurora community: hard-working people and members of our military.
Both the staff - Bar tenders and “regulars” were immediately welcoming.
Let me start with the bar: The beers on tap represent some of the best craft beers in Colorado paired with Coors and local favorites. And of course you can always order a Pitcher of your favorite beer with a chilled pint glass. The bar has a great variety of whiskeys, tequilas, vodkas, etc. There is the main bar at the entrance with exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable bartenders. There is a wide variety of TVs and comfortable chairs. Two top & tables are also present. It is a great place to celebrate a birthday or special event. There is also a comfortable pool table area also has a staffed bar alongside video games, a jukebox, etc. Playing pool is free. So bring your sticks.
Food - Now comes the food which is truly exceptional! Everything on the menu is worth trying - EVERYTHING. Alex and the cook staff make everything to order. They take great pride in cooking and smile as they deliver your meal. I love the bacon cheeseburgers & wings. But the french fries are the best ever! They are hand-cut and made on the spot. They have exceptional homemade food specials as well as drink specials. Are you in the mood for breakfast? Breakfast is served all day and into the evening. And don’t let me forget the fried ice cream. Wow!
Sports - I have amazing memories of watching sports like the Broncos, Avalanche, Rockies, and any sporting event available. They have HD televisions of all sizes located throughout. At any given time there will be any sport of choice on the screen. The staff is always willing to put on a game of choice. Don’t see what you want to watch - Just ask. The staff is always willing to put on a game of choice.
There is more - There are also free pool tables, poker nights, video music trivia with cool giveaways, and karaoke nights. The weekends are always a blast.
Each time I walk into Pitchers, I feel like I have been invited to my best friends home to watch a game, with exceptional home-cooked food alongside an ice-cold beer. As a kid, I have fun memories of watching Cheers the TV series. I remember hoping that someday I to find a neighborhood bar that reminded me of what I saw. A palace where everyone knew your name. That place exists in Aurora Colorado and it is called...
Read moreI walked in and sat for a half hour before anyone asked me if I needed anything. I started with water and asked if there were any specials. The person finally rolled their eyes at me and was pretty dismissive!
A couple came in and sat behind me a bit later and was served immediately with a smile and treated with respect. I noticed immediately and I was very hurt.
I had been looking forward to eating breakfast at pitchers since a few months ago when I came there last. The same service staff treated me a million times better and I hadn’t been there since.
I walked for over an hour to get to pitchers on a HOT Sunday afternoon and was very much looking forward to the experience on the way!
I walked home in the hot sun regretting I had ever taken a step outside my home.
I was very much looking forward to this experience and I was really hurt by the way I was treated. Especially being forced to wait while others behind me were met immediately with a smile and respect.
I felt disrespected and mistreated and I was very much looking forward to the experience. I used my own personal time and energy to go to a place where I was not welcome.
They smiled and laughed with everyone and were rude to me.
I am disappointed in the behavior of these professionals. I just wanted to enjoy some food on one of my well earned off days. My day was ruined. I...
Read moreCame expecting to see Kymm and partake in karaoke. Was very disappointed to learn that that she is no longer there on Friday nights anymore. It was definitely noticeable that she wasn’t there because the atmosphere was completely different. The new karaoke dj was kinda snarky, no song book, song list, and his screen to display words was distorted. He didn’t have any of the songs anymore in our group asked for either. In the 2 hours we were there only 7 people sang. Usually there was a list of people waiting to sing with Kymm. To add insult to injury, the food was not good and they messed up several orders. So much that some in our group decided to cancel their orders altogether. Finally, our initial waitress transferred our table to another service because she claimed she was leaving and off duty. 2 hours later she was still there serving a different party. The server she gave us was a young lady of color. The table she was still there serving after she claimed she was leaving was all white. Not sure what that was about, but we definitely have an idea as to why! Definitely won’t be back again which makes me kind of sad because we actually enjoyed...
