Well me and my husband went on a Sunday, and it looked pretty full so we decided to order breakfast online on a Monday (this was the very first time we ever ordered here.) and well.. we had to wait 10 mins more for the meal to come to us. But that wasn’t such a big deal.
When my husband got home with the meal; I didn’t expect the order I received. My meal was the biscuits and gravy, sausage, egg and grits.. I didn’t like the taste of the sausage; very much a homemade recipe and the spices where a bit much. The gravy looked more like a paste and not gravy.I’ve never seen country gravy in that form before. So I called and ask if I can exchange my meal; and unfortunately I couldn’t; since the meal came out correctly and it was just my preference that had been an issue Which was understandable. And I accepted that.
For my husbands meal; he’d ordered a buttermilk pancakes breakfast; and his pancakes came with some chocolate on them; which he does have an allergy to chocolate. the menu did not specify that someone must inform the restaurant of any allergy. So if had he eaten the food unbeknownst of the chocolate it would have caused some medical problems on his end. So we’d also informed the person who answered the phone of this issue as well, which they kind of brushed it off and said that there was nothing to be done about that. Which definitely irritated my husband and at this point we had to get a manager involved and get refunded the pancakes cause that portion of the meal could not be touched.
Now the reason I gave this place 3 stars; instead of 1 was because the manger involved was very genuine and understandable to my husbands situation. he informed us of the polices that was in place here and still refunded us for the inconvenience of the pancakes and was polite the entire time. Needless to say this will be the first and last time we order from this restaurant simply because the food was not up to par and the wait staff who answered the phone to help us was not really caring of the situation at hand, and I felt like the issue could’ve been dealt with better than it was for us being first...
Read moreI have to say I really like this spot a lot I actually went to the same restaurant on the other side of town about 2 weeks ago but this service and servers at the one I just went to on Sunday was phenomenal and that being in my opinion a little understaffed but I could see Brittany and Shelby were making it happen...I want to say they covered all the first table to the left as you walked in also the table in front front where they do the spiked coffee and all the that but it sits like 11 people or or more with the booths your talking over 20 people I think they were taking care of I felt like going back and giving 30 percent tip or more instead of what I gave....The food was delicious and did not take long at all...I got Apple fritter french toast this time but I think I liked the cinnamon roll french toast a little better but my wife said she also loved the beignets but I could go on and on but I will be back there soon as this place gets my stamp of approval 💯😃..... Brittany was great again as usual and this might be our breakfast/ brunch spot every weekend 👍👍👍 if any a place that should be a 5 ⭐ it's this place... Flawless in my opinion and have been to many brunch or breakfast places!...Today we had a breakfast and sat next to some very cool people but unfortunately we didn't sit in Brittany's section but we at least we were able to speak to her for awhile but in any case I need this breakfast hot spot getting a 4.8 rating seriously 👍....we have now been here 30 times and counting and we have a new favorite server Elaina...She...
Read moreOur first visit to Another Broken Egg ... Yelpers give the place a very good rating, so our expectations going in were high! Even though we arrived about 11:45am on a Saturday morning, we were seated in about 15 minutes. We had grandkids along this visit, so we were able to order and taste more items on the menu!
Anneth was our waitress, she did a great job ... explaining the menu, suggesting items, keeping glasses full... attentive, but not intrusive. Great service! Since it was our first visit, Anneth delivered a complimentary order of fresh beignets, with honey citrus dipping sauce on the side. Deelish! A real treat! If it's your first-time dining there, tell your server, the beignets are on the house!
Let's talk breakfast! Orders to the table... Tiramisu French Toast, sausage and eggs (sunny side up) on the side; Lobster Hash Benedict (side of grits); Bacon Lettuce Tomato and Avocado Sandwich; Hey Lucy Omelet (chorizo, veggies and cheese). All very good. French toast tasted like a tiramisu cake, the lobster hash benedict, with the hash taking the place of the English muffin in the dish, monster slabs of bacon in the BLT, good balance of chorizo, veggies and cheese in the omelet. We passed around all, and all agreed everything was very good!
The atmosphere is very nice... hustle and bustle, all the staff are moving at the speed of sound! Great 70s music playing overhead! Good breakfast chow at a good vibe place! A solid 4-star...
